I loved inglorious basterds. such a cleverly done film. the suspense and tension was done to perfection. one of the few films to really hold your interest with lengthy dialogue. something not many directors can pull of or even try.

Christoph Waltz gave an absolutely stellar performance too

Another entry in my trio of movies of 2009 I fucking loved.

That
Avatar
District 9
Same! Just watched it for the 2nd and 3rd time yesterday. It's great! I didn't get to see the Basterds or District 9 in theaters which sucked, but I got to see Avatar opening day in 3-D. I really liked the whole Shosanna story and actually like how the Basterds were a little more underplayed than I expected. I would reccomend it to anyone.

Also what's up with Aldo's neck? was his neck cut, or was he hanged. It was a little debate I had while watching it the 3rd time.

I loved Inglorious Basterds. It was one of my favorite movies of 2009 since it combined comedy and alternate history, and what's not to like there.

Did not like it at all. Thought it was very badly paced with little action and flat dialogue. The only bit that did anything for me was the scene in the bar with the Nazi officer

I found it fantastic. One of the best movies of the year, in my opinion.
Another bloody avatar? What's wrong with you, man!

It was pretty good. It's in my top 5 of the year.

I hate this movie with a passion. It's duller than dirt and for a movie called 'Inglorious Basterds', it was hardly about the basterds at all. Nope, it's pretty much three hours of anyone but. And I have no problem with subtitles, but Jesus Christ! If I wanted to read, I would have stayed home and read a damn book. (oh wait, the only reason I saw that god awful movie was because I was kicked out w/ my brothers for a few hours.)

It was freaking brilliant, as far as I'm concerned. It was my favourite Tarantino film since Pulp Fiction (yeah, it was better than Kill Bill). The directing was impeccable, and the performances were brilliant. I really don't think Brad Pitt got enough praise for his role - that accent was awesome, and his "italian" made me burst out laughing.

I'm shocked to find that some people have stated there was too much talking.. in a bloody Tarantino film? Just.. I'm speechless, you fellas should just stick to watching the Transformers movies.
It was not the amount of talking, just that the talking scenes packed non of the Tarantino punch i expected to find. Compered to his earlier movies the dialogue in inglourious basterds felt flat and wooden ( with the exception of two scenes, the intro and the bar fight ).

I loved this movie so much! I went in as a somewhat wary fan of Tarantino's and came out with my faith in him exponentially increased! The previews made me think he was going the generic action flick route and I was worried, so I appreciated finding out it had the innovation and snappy dialogue I've come to love from Tarantino. As sparing as the characterization was, I felt like I understood everything that was necessary to identify with each member of the ensemble. Definitely my movie of the year!

It was good, but the story dragged at some points and the name and trailers made look like something we were all hoping it would be. Say "I" if you agree

Loved it. Classic Tarantino style gore and perfect dialogue. One of the best movies of 2009.
