And Athol I like your character. That's why I play IG. Being a normal human in the 40k universe is ridiculous! Space Marines act all tough but they run around in tank armor! Not to mention have two hearts, spit acid, increased stamina ect ect... Being human in a world with tyranids, necrons, orkz, Dark Eldar, Chaos demons, and all sorts of others makes craziness makes me feel
very humble and far from the top of the food chain. Which makes it even better when regular humans, The imperial guard face these foes and bring them down with sheer relentlessness. Plus It reminds all those space marines exactly what they are fighting for or why they fight. For the common mans survival. I hope that character gets to play.
I whole-heartily agree. Your sheet was pretty original even among the sisters of battle and space marines. It'll be a pleasure serving with you!

Plus if my sisters of battle character gets accepted rather than my imperial guardsmen, they could most definitely swap stories lol

Well, you finally get to meet the Inquisitor and her Acolyte. I know a few of you have been wondering if they even existed, but here they are. Tomorrow i'll make choices on the sheets.
The deadline is midnight tomorrow.
and to add a little spice to things:
Name: Lunette Draco
Age: 134
Gender: Female
Career Path: Former Sister of Battle, Currently Inquisitor
Chapter or Order: Ordo Hereticus
Rank: Inquisitor
Weapons: Duel ended chain staff, Bolter pistol and a powersword in reserve.
Armor: Adeptus Sororitas power armor, modified to be personal for Inquisitor Lunette.
Appearance:

Colors:
Main:
Build: strong but slender, weighing in around 137 lbs.
Height: 5ft 5in.
Bio: Lunette was an orphan of the wars, her mother and father were both in the imperial guard and killed in action. She was born on terra to a family fortunate enough to be servants to a richer family. When the lord of her parents was satisfied with their service, he let them be released if the went into the imperial guard. They accepted and left their child, a baby girl with him and signed up. After a number of years of service, they were each dead. At six, Lunette was entered into the Schola Progenia as her parents wishes stated if they died.

she was a stubborn and free-willed child, often getting punished for not showing the same devotion and faith as the other children did. It took a while, but eight years later, when she was fourteen, she was finally sent to the Adepta Sororitas, the Order of the Shroud convent on Terra. She made her way up the ranks and was next in line to become the cannoness of her convent.

That is when she ran into the Inquisition. She wasn't a blind fanatic like all of her sisters. This made the Inquisitor take note of her and take her on as an acolyte. While loving her sisters, having shed blood with them against chaos forces, she was sort of happy to be free of the life she had up until then. Training to become an Inquisitor herself was hard work, but it paid off in the end when her master died and she filled his role.

About twelve years after she had become an acolyte, she took place of her master at fifty and still looked young thanks to augmentations she had implanted into herself. She quickly took up where he left off and became known as one of the meanest and fearsome inquisitors in the Imperium. She continued on, gaining reputation and respect throughout the Imperium and was assigned watch over the worlds, finding those likely to be fit for the blackships.

During this time, she would travel world to world, spening a few months searching for psykers to take on the next blackship round. During the various trips, she noted she had a nack for finding psykers, leading herself to be tested and found to be an extremely weak psyker. Over the years, she used the powers she had to track psykers down and help change her own signature within the warp to allow her to get closer to them without noticing.

Inquisitor Lunette kept this up for years, until a decade ago, she met a young girl who was a psyker and extremely strong one at that. Lunette fought hard and long, almost a year to get her and finally did, as her acolyte. She has taken time over the past 10 years to personally train the girl. Though her reputation has preceded her and the girl has been hidden from view from most of the imperium.
Non Bio info: a weak psyker, but uses her powers in such a way that she doesn't need to be strong, but she is crafty.
Name: Solara
Age:16
Gender:female
Career Path:Inquisitor
Chapter or Order:Ordo Herecticus
Rank: acolyte
Weapons: Standard bolter and a chainsword. Krak grenades as well as a combat knife strapped to her boot.
Armor: Adepta sororitas armor of similar appearance to her Master's color scheme.
Appearance:

Build: Slender but not very muscular.
Height: 5 ft 3
Bio:
Solar was an orphan on a backwater planet. She grew up on the streets as a shy girl and living off of donations. Lunette found her through tips of trackers on the plane looking for money. She spent time studying and following the girl around. Lunette found her to show none of the psyker powers reported, but a six year old who is just trying to survive. The inquisitor found her to generally be nice to everyone for no reason at all other than the sake of being good.

Intrigued, she followed the girl and found even after being beat and hurt that she showed no signs of loosing that spirit she held within herself. Only when something or someone the girl cared about was injured, id her massive psyker powers surface. Lunette decided to bring her to the ships and spent the next few days with the girl.

The girl came to like this new woman as she was nice to her and treated her as a human. Solar didn't speak much, but was polite none the less. She didn't even know her name at this time, so she just responded to Girl. The woman decided that she needed a name and thought for a minute. "Solar, you're always shining though the skies like the star in the sol system does on the emperor's world." she said. The girl smiled at the thought.

When the ships came, Lunette had a tough decision to make. Break the relationship she had with the girl, or keep her safe. The inquisitor chose the latter, and fought a long year to keep her, the girl eventually winding up as her acolyte.

Over the Decade that Lunette has had Solar, she has developed a relationship through training with the girl. Lunette has become a sort of mother figure to the girl, now sixteen. This even goes as far as Solar calling Lunette "mother". During recent years and the maturing of Solar's body, her dreams have come under attack by the powers of Chaos, causing the girl to become reclusive and even more shy than before. Being around large groups of people makes her nervous, as if someone was going to get her.
Non-Bio Info: Solar is a psyker, she's an alpha plus level and is only known about by the higher ups in the inquisition. Her existence is on a need to know basis.

Name: Xak Tsaroth
Age: 477
Height: 8'7"
Appearance:
Closer to a walking tank than a man, nearly 3 meters tall and not much less across. An Astartes was designed for killing- the appearance alone cowed one with fear. But to see one move- nothing human shaped should be so fast, so powerful. The psychologists called it transhuman dread. It froze a man, stuck him to the ground, caused his mind to lock up, made him lose control of bladder and bowel. Something huge and warlike gave pause: something huge and warlike and moving at the speed of a striking snake, that was when you knew that gods moved against men, and that there existed a scale of strength and speed beyond anything mortal, and that you were about to die.

Xak Tsaroth himself has been blessed by his dark god, becoming not male or female, but something in between. A hermaphrodite, the swell of his breasts contained within a tremendous shell of powered armor. Within this hideous warp-exposed exoskeleton is a body twisted with corruption, grotesquely mutated and morphed with Chaos. And it is a sight from the worst nightmares.

Traits:
A servant of Slaanesh, She Who Thirsts. From Slaanesh flows unending, unlimited pleasure; The eyes which gaze out of that skull seem deadened and numb, the pupils so wide and dilated that scarcely any iris was visible. These were eyes that had seen too much and never quite recovered. It was a condition that was like the opposite of blindness- rather than seeing nothing, these were black eyes that could see everything, and could never look away.

Xak Tsaroth's hearing is one thousand times as keen as a normal person. This sensory input affects his whole mind, causing extreme emotional reactions that make all other sensations pale and worthless. The more riotus the color, the louder and more discordant the noise, the more extreme the emotional reaction provoked. At such a level of sensory perception, nothing can stir him other than the din of battle and the screams of the dying.

Augmentations
-second heart
-third lung
-ceramic-ossified bones (with the ribcage fused into one solid piece like a breastplate)
-inhuman musculature
-blood that seals wounds in seconds
-an organ that lets them sleep parts of their brain while the others remain alert
-a pre-stomach decontamination organ
-nerve bundles connecting the spine and stomach wall, to read opponent's memories by eating their brains
-night vision
-a synthetic ear that not only improves balance but can filter and enhance certain sounds
-an organ that allows the marine to enter suspended animation
-an organ that provides adaptive skin that darkens in high levels of sunlight and protects from other radiation
-a blood-filtering organ that provides immunity to poison
-taste enhanced to such a degree that they can identify chemicals and track targets by taste alone
-an implant that allows the marine to sweat a thick mucus that coats the skin and offers resistance to extreme heat, cold, and vacuum.
-an organ that gives the marine the ability to spit highly corrosive acid poison
-a gene-seed that can be extracted and used to create more space marines

Equipment:
Underneath the powered exoskeleton is implanted a something resembling a film of black plastic, directly beneath the skin of the torso- the Black Carapace. It hardened and sent invasive neural bundles into the body, with interface points tied directly into his armor. This allows the space marine to link with the suit and move it subconsciously, without being hindered at all. The armor is effectively their second set of skin and the electrical fibre bundles underneath the armour their second set of muscles. The Black Carapace also allows the user to monitor their biological functions and that of the suit which is flashed straight to the mind just like a thought.

Weapons:
Primary weapon is a Bolter, which functions as a fully automatic armor-piercing rocket launcher that fires 20mm caseless "bolts". Other main weapon is the Doom Siren; fitted to his back, the device is an arrangement of tubes which amplify the war cries of the bearer into a devastating sonic attack which spreads out in front of the charging marine.

At different frequencies the Doom Siren can have different effects. It produces noise variously disorientating, stimulating and murderous. High decibels can deafen, while throbbing bass notes are strong enough to burst eyeballs and rupture organs as the victim vomits torrents of blood and viscera.

But these are nothing to the powers of Slaanesh, inspiring and entwining the noises of it's servants. The noise carries all who hear it on a journey of the senses. It drives them to laugh and then cry, builds a terrible anger and soaring elation. Faces become rapt in stunned disbelief, eyes wide as the power and majesty of the dissonant sounds penetrated the skull and spoke ectsacy to the soul. But not everyone can appreciate the wonder of what they are privileged to witness- many men are tortured in the throes of agony. Dizzying colours flash in the air, uncontrollable laughter and the intoxicating rush of emotions. The enemy shudders in pleasure, but there is panic in their eyes as their mouths stretched wide in silent screams, bones cracking as they distended. Hideous, soundless shrieks issued from their throats, realising the they could actually see the music as it reached out from the speakers and slithered among the men like a living thing. Friends turned and fought each other with fists and teeth. Others fall upon one another with carnal lust, and the heaving victims soon draw into a pile, convulsing in agonised throes of death and desire. An orgy of killing and sensational excess follows, blood running in rivers as the power of the noise drew a monstrous thirst and myriad colours. Soldiers club their allies death with their fists and eat their flesh or drink the blood from their veins, or set themselves on fire for the sensation of being burned alive.

And the rapid-fire bolts and offensive blasts continue in devastating explosions. Sonic booms rip human beings apart with an ear-splitting concussion, while the few able to fight thrash helplessly as their bones snap and heads explode beneath the barrage of noise. The music of the apocalypse.

But though the war from range is dire, the one close is far worse. In close combat, his mind ceases to reason and becomes a mere receptacle for sensations ignited the dance of destruction. Xak Tsaroth gives himself over to the sensation and becomes enraged- unbelievably, incomprehensibly, all-consumingly enraged and massacres whole legions. With the augmented muscle, powered armor, and the weight of chaos behind him, the marine would rip humans apart with his bare hands and open tanks with passes of his claws. The Traitor Marine is like an earthquake or a storm. Enemies have little hope of escaping and are helpless to stop it. There is weeping and gnashing of teeth; and prayer, thinking the end of the world has come.

Personality:
Brutally strong and has a fascination with war, genocide and pain and the methods of inflicting it. As with all followers of Slaanesh, the only focus of admiration is senseless indulgence. This ranks him among the most violent, sadistic, and debauched creatures imaginable. Because the Chaos Space Marines have all dedicated their souls to Chaos, they know that their souls will ultimately be consumed by the Ruinous Powers, unless they can earn the rare promotion to become Daemons in their own right. The Dark Gods do not truly care for their servants, and would gladly see them tortured for all eternity within the Immaterium simply for their own amusement. Xak Tsaroth does not care, seeing such as a new experience. He fights for everything that was once forbidden to indulge in as the ascetic servant of the Emperor and the selfless guardian of Mankind. Pleasure, wealth, but above all else the power to rule their fellow men in the name of Chaos.

Background Story:
An Astartes from the Relinquishers space marine chapter, whose ranks had allied with the Sky Brothers and endured weeks of hard fighting in the swamps of Tyrfa. The forest was dark and twisted. No light shone through the canopy above, the wet muddy floor was totally dark and wrought with strange alien foliage. The enemy numbered in the millions and were entrenched deep in the misty glades, past mazes of razor sharp rocks and daemonette-infested forests. But the Sky Brothers fought with valor and the guidance of the immortal God-Emperor, and the cultists who held the world were reduced to utter destruction. From an abundant multitude, scarcely a thousand survived to flee offworld. The Sky Brothers emerged triumphant, and the company were hailed as heroes.

But the company did not leave the war untouched; something about the cultist worlds had twisted and corrupted them. On Rhyutis, they uncovered the lost secrets of Chaos and became the heirs to an ancient and evil legacy. Succumbing to the lure of the Warp, the traitor marines and the great fleet under their control abandoned the Imperium and swore fealty to Chaos.

With their army of followers, the Traitor Marines returned not as saviors, but as conquerors. War raged on the Sky Brothers homeworld, and Xak Tsaroth fell upon his former allies with a wrath as never before. Colonists died by the millions, their corpses choking the crimson-red cities and grasslands. The loyal Astartes gained victory after victory, until they destroyed the servants of Ruinous Powers.

But many Chaos marines survived, fleeing to the embrace of the Warp, sent to other worlds to spread the will of destruction.

Name: Kaltos Eisen

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Career Path: Pilot

Chapter or Order: Imperial Navy

Rank: Warrant Officer
Weapons: Auto-Gun, Las-Pistol, Knife

Armor: Mark XII Carapace Armour and Type 5 Pressure Helmets which are equipped with respirators intended for low-oxygen, high-altitude drops or for deployment in hostile environments. High powered Vox Caster attached to back

Appearance:
Blue eyes
Bald

Build: Thin and somewhat lean. His muscle size is what one would expect from somewhat who has passed basic training and then sat in the pilot's chair for the rest of their career.

Height: 5'11

Bio:
Kaltos Eisen Grew up on the verdant world of Elysia, Home of the famous Elysian Drop Troopers. This was for a large part his inspiration to join the Imperial Navy. Flying was simply in his blood however fighting was not. This led to a complication, how does a Craven but stern devotee of the God-Emperor server his Lord without getting shot, dismembered or otherwise strewn across some backwater planet? The answer lied with the Imperial Navy, after all, being several thousand feet above the combat zone and traveling in excess 1100 kilometres per hour while inside what amounts to an armored box with guns does wonders increasing a man's life expectancy above fifteen hours.

So began Eisen's training in the imperial navy as a Valkyrie pilot. On paper Eisen is no one of vast importance or skill. He did modest tours of duty across several campaigns and generally did what his job ask of him too. Take a squad of dog-faced Guardsmen from point A to point B as fast as possible, with all their limbs still connected and then pick up the remainders once the hard-fighting was done.

What most would attribute to skill lie solely in one field, Luck, pure blind luck. Despite whatever is thrown at him he always has the natural ability to beat the staggering odds of survival for an Imperial servant. His dice hand is true, He gets the best card hands and can pass through fields of flak so thick you could get out and walk to the Drop Zone. On his profile he has been shot down only twice and both times he has crash landed safety behind friendly lines (or on them much to the chagrin of the Guardsmen manning the trenches). He has a high Talley of enemy kills (mostly Ork) without so much as seeing one up close. His luck persisted when he caught the eye of a Planetary-Governor who employed him as part of his "Bodyguard Cadre" as a glorified taxi service.

Eisen's luck may have started to change however as he has seemingly caught the interest of the Inquisition because of the only thing that can catch the attention of the Inquisition, the warp. As a part of the Navy Eisen is exposed to the horror's of the warp almost routinely. Every Cruisers warp jump exposes the crew to the foulness of Choas. People are somewhat protected because of the Gellar-Field that protects the starship and its occupants from the hostility of the psychically-reactive Warp. However the whispers of the warp may seep into men's dreams turning them insane as Eisen found out when he awoke to a crazed Ensign placing a knife at his throat before a lieutenant plastered his brains across the cold metal walls. Eisen however does not suffer from this. His sleep is peaceful, dreamless or centered around the raunchy fantasies of you're average twenty-six year old male. His innate resistance to the warps covert taint was enough for the Inquisition to acquire him from the planetary-Governor (as one doesn't simply say no to the Inquisition) for their own employ.

Personality:
Eisen's personality is nonchalant. He reacts to all the stress of being a servant of the emperor (and a target for a Xeno or heretic) with a blend humor and melancholy. He emotionally invests in group camaraderie as well as in the bottle, no different from you're average guardsmen.
He revels in the Guard-Navy rivalry, the back and forth vocal sparring between pilot and Guardsman squad being one of the highlights of his career.
He is also extremely craven, as a pilot he prefers to keep his enemies at 13,000 feet or more.
He is an avid gambler. He is also a devout servant of the emperor.

Abilities:
Modest with a gun
poor in hand to hand
Pilot
Communications (Vox Caster)
From further supplement Inquisitor training Eisen can drive any Vehicle mounted on the Chimera or Leman chassis with ease and with his own brand of professionalism

In Character
Name: Lodrig Jarlson

Age: 36

Gender: Male

Career Path: Interrogator of the Inquisition.

Chapter or Order: Is under the tutelage of Inquisitor Carlow of the Ordo Hereticus
Rank: Interrogator.

Weapons: Given a Condemnor Boltgun by his mentor to use for this mission along with his
chainsword. He has also has his standard pattern lasgun slung across his back for more traditional firefights. He will switch to this if he needs to conserve his ammunition for the Condemnor.

Armor: Wears carapace armour the color of Burnished Bronze with a black great coat over it. He carries a Liber Heresius attached to his belt by a thick chain with holy inscriptions worked into it.

Appearance: Light brown eyes, with light skin, and dark hair. His hair is shaved on the
side of his head, but he grows the top of his hair long enough to pull back into a shoulder
length pony tail. He has a scar on the left side of his face starting at his lower jaw
running up over his temple and along the side of his head. He often wears under stated clothing when at rest, or if he is not trying to intimidate. He carries his Liber Heresius wherever he goes.

Build: Tall, and broad shouldered. He keeps himself in good physical shape. Joining his
mentor in raids on heretical cultists requires he keep himself at least as fit as the
regular guardsman.

Height: He is 6 foot 2 inches.

Personality: He is calm, and Friendly. He is often smiling when talking with people. He has a highly inquisitive mind, and frightening temper masked by his friendliness. He excels at "Interrogating" prisoners. He is very religious. That being said he understands why the need for radical Inquisitors. He does not like anything to do with warpcraft or Heresy. He does understand the usefulness of fighting fire with fire so to say.

Bio: He was the son of a Planetary governor. To symbolize their loyalty his family sends at
least one child every generation to a Schola Progenium. He was chosen because he was a
black sheep of the family. His father thought he would embarrass the family or draw
unwanted attention from parts of the Imperium.

He was a commissar cadet when Inquisitor Carlow Launched a raid on heretical cult on a planet nearby he was deployed along with a platoon of Schola Stormtrooper trainees as a training exorcise. At the end of the assault he and the platton he was attached to were at Carlow's side during the charge of the inner sanctum of the sorceror that was leading the cult.

Carlow saw his unflinching loyalty and bravery in the face of Psychic attacks. That was what inspired the inquisitor to take a closer look into his history. Lodrig is a faithful man. He had a penchant for getting into trouble. Enemies of his family would try to blackmail them using this knowledge, but seemed to always someone get out of it. Often he would turn it back onto the blackmailer.

Carlow saw potential in this and decided to take him as a novitiate. He has worked his way up to his chief Interrogator. So when Carlow heard of a fellow inquisitor gathering key persons for something he was too busy rooting out a heretical cultist cell upon Lodrig's homeworld. So he decided this would be a great test for Lodrig's abilities, and sent him to aid the Inquisitor in anyway he can.

My skype is dylan.upton

Lemme know if anything needs changing. Also added some personality

Name:
Urd

Age:
27

Gender:
Female

Career Path:
Guard

Order:
Daughters of Russ

The Daughters of Russ are an all female order exclusive the planet Fenris, they serve primarily as guards to the vault containing Leman Russ's Relics in The Fang, how ever some also aid the Wolf Priests in they're duty's, claiming recruits in the priests place when several worthy subjects are known. they also work with the PDF, generally as a special forces unit.

recruitment is similar in that they seek women who are strong warriors or hunters how ever they handle they're own recruitment exclusively. the training is equally brutal, most carry the scars of training for the remainder of they're days and its not uncommon for some one to die during training.

those who survive complete they're training by drinking from a goblet, the contents of which turn the hair of the inductee white as well as augment their strength and stamina, as the liquid in the goblet being the last piece to an ancient and far obsolete genetic augmentation procedure, a ritual over seen by 'Freya', the head of the order.

it's also common for members to be multi-generational, as there is no commandment prevent anyone in the order from sexual activity, in fact, its encouraged amount the more decorated member's, with the reasoning of 'strong warriors produce strong off spring'.

Rank:
Battle Maiden (equivalent rank would basic Space Marine)

Weapons:
Power Axe, Chain sword and Bolter Pistol

Armor:
http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/206/3/a/Daughter_of_Russ_by_NachoMon.jpg
(side note: the whole of the character is based on this image, thus there was much pulling from the ass on this one)

Appearance:
outside her armor, she has white braided hair, scars on her arms legs and torso from her training and blue eyes with a scars over her right eye from a beasts claws

Build: tall, fairly large muscular build

Height: 6'10"

Bio:
Urd was born to a Daughter of Russ, one of the Valkyrie (Assault Marine) thus from a young age she was groomed to be to join the order, since just being the daughter of a member decorated or not, was no free ticket in, it was usually harder as expectations where higher for the child of a member. but Urd rose to those expectations, proving her strength loyalty and ability so that by the time she was 18 she was a fully member of the order, her mother, actually smiled that day, a rare occurrence in Urd's life.

her career was fairly lack luster how ever, opportunity's to prove her self where few and far between, she'd work along side the PDF or the local Ecclesiarchy (who are generally viewed as 'sisters' if not a bit up tight) in dealing with what ever matter that they where summoned for. then,a few weeks after her 27th birthday The Thousand Sons launched a surprise attack on The Fang, the vast Majority of the Space Wolves where gone at that time so it fell on the DoR, SoB and PDF to fend them off.

the battle was brutal, many Sisters, Daughters and PDF falling in battle. Urd and her group arrived late to the battle and dived right in, Urd cutting a path to the first Sorcerer she saw, and drove her Chain Sword into the heretics chest while her Power Axe found his skull, with the last of his life the Sorcerer caused an explosion of warp energy, Urd, was temporally stunned, but several of her sisters didn't fair as well, the lucky ones where killed instantly, the less lucky ones where corrupted and needed to be put down before she could move on.

by the time it was over and the last heretic slain, half her order lay dead, her mother also among the dead, the bad news didn't stop there, some one noticed the warp energy's not effecting her like it did the others, and was summoned by an Inquisitor who confirmed her warp resistance, Urd knew what that meant, it hurt her that her loyalty would be questioned but Volunteered regardless for what ever task the Inquisitor had to prove her loyalty to the Emperor.

yeah, there was a LOT of 'making it up on the fly' here ^^;;

Mcpop. About your acolyte character.... I was reading up about psykers yesterday and an Alpha Plus is the most powerful level. Like snap a Battle Titan in two levels of power. Beta is the highest psyker level obtainable by a human while still being considered sane (wiki). And since she doesnt seem to be on Chaos' side. A powerful Delta level can crush a man against a wall and that seems like a really powerful level already. I think you'll need to revise that part. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but I advise revision for the sake of lore and god powers.

Mcpop. About your acolyte character.... I was reading up about psykers yesterday and an Alpha Plus is the most powerful level. Like snap a Battle Titan in two levels of power. Inquisitor Ravenor was only a Beta I believe even with the power chair that boosted his abilities like whoah. The psyker levels aren't actually set in stone. Authors seem to change them on the fly. SOmetimes Ravenor is beta sometimes he is Alpha plus and I think he was once a delta. It's a confusing ranking system

Alpha plus has only two real examples, Snapping a titan in half and summoning a legion of daemons.
But I think Mcpop took that into account when writing the character.
