Playing NFS:MW and I am just about to crash when I instinctively press my UT2004 shield gun bind, realise it wasn't working and then just spam it to no avail before realising that I was playing the wrong game >_>

I tried to enter V.A.T.S. before remembering I was playing Just Cause 2, once.
I can't tell you the amount of times I've done that!
Oh and running toward walls and wondering why I don't automatically go into cover

High-five! Just THAT got me killed very often. Not to talk about the moments I forgot I could pilot anything and had a grappling hook.

Ooh, probably Black Ops, i forgot i wasn't playing a game that encourages anything other than 'Run in, Use FAMAS'
Also i keep on trying to free-run in COD, after copious amounts of Brink.

I spent a weekend playing nothing but Prototype and the Infamous games. Then I went and played GTA 4 and was all "*Jumps off building* Hmm..........OH SHI-"

Infamous I really just wanted to melee everything, because ti seemed natural and I found aiming tedious

I do this quite often when I play one game for a few solid days then move onto something else... I was playing... something... just before Infamous 2 came out, and I constantly found myself trying to 'reload' Cole after every ranged take down. Took me a good day to quit doing it too.

After playing Dark Sector, for some reason whenever I play a 3rd person game with the behind the shoulder view... I catch myself holding down the bumper button to charge the blade boomerang I don't have. This habit has caused me to hold cooking grenades sometimes.

After playing a hella tonne of Bayonetta going to play Castlevania: Lord of Shadows... Let's just say my experience of Castlevania was ruined and I now hate that game.

Trying to shoot people in the leg to run up to them and cuff them in LA Noire... only to find out that that mechanic was non-existent.

I keep trying to access my pip boy even though I'm Batman. I'm also still not used to the auto save thing.

When I returned to GTA4 after having played other games, some bright spark forgot that the protagonist dosen't instantly sprint and can't do a ninja roll, so when the aforementioned bright spark tried to taunt a player in a car online, he swiftly remembered why you don't try to avoid speeding cars at the very last second before impact. Put simply, I forgot Niko couldn't evade like an elite and got myself turned to pavement syrup.

Also, after playing The Darkness it took me a good few hours to stop myself from shooting all the lights out in every other game. Slightly different idea, but after prolonged exposure to Assassins Creed games I sometimes imagine ways to climb up buildings, in great detail as well.

whenever i switch between halo and call of duty i spend 5 minutes throwing grenades instead of looking down my ironsights, and looking down my scope instead of meleeing people

Trying to adjust to any new game when my muscle memory is set to a previous game is an endless recurring problem. I usually need a day or two to acclimatize myself to the peculiarities of the new UI.
This, you have no idea how many times I hit B trying to get to my inventory in Deus Ex by bringing up my Pip-boy.
Yeah. I tried to check my inventory while I was standing behind a civilian. Then I broke that civilian's arm and knocked her out. I keep pressing the wrong buttons over and over and over and over in Human Revolution. Having the "X" button as the contextual action button (instead of "A") is really hard to get used to.

I also accidentally threw a concussion grenade while I was crawling through an air duct.

This one actually frustrates me. In Mass Effect i press the Back button to try and open the map and Shepard throws a grenade. I try to press X for a melee attack because a Krogan wants to rape me with a shotgun while Garrus can't tell which Asari is a commando and which one is Liara and it asks me if i want to go back to the Normandy...
And shit like that happened all the time with the PS2. Why the FUCK did Hideo Kojima make it so that the circle button normally associated with the back button was the selection button while X was the back button?

Ah well. That stuff happens less often now, but i still do occasionaly confuse one duck and cover command for another, and it's happened a couple of times where out of nowhere i tried to reverse time in the wrong Ubisoft game.

Going from a game like Forza 3 to Split/Second, or vice-versa is usually not a very good idea...
Brake for the corner... WHAT??? How can all these noobs pass me with all the sideways?
or vice versa: SIDEWAYS FOR CORNER!!! *car flips and gets totaled*
