Well, it's the whole political correctness thing again. It's gotten way out of proportion. Anyway, using race as reason to discriminate is bad, but using it to describe a set of genetical specifics is not. But it does put the whole mixed race issue out there. It's not really that weird seeing an african and a caucasian after seeing that =)
I personally think that the idea of different "races" when we all belong to humanity is a bit counter productive, although I know that every species has its subsets etc.
It's a thorny issue for a lot of scientists working in the area, as referring to people's race is a sensitive issue.
