See? It's a great way of relieving it.

Would fearing bees and wasps count as irrational? Because I find them really scary!
Ditto this one, I was stung when I was young and have been afraid of them since.
Only stung?
When i was a kid i was walking in the woods and accidentally put my foot through what i thought at the time was a molehill, as it turns out it was a hole with a hornet's nest buried at the bottom. Needless to say i got swarmed.
Damn, that must have hurt like hell. Hornets are bloody awful.
I've been stung by a single hornet and it hurt like hell... I would hate to be swarmed, thinking of it now I can almost feel it... ugh.

I have this irrational fear of long empty hallways. I don't know why, but every time I find myself alone in a hallway, I get incredibly paranoid.

I'm also irrationally afraid of the Slender Man, though that's starting to let up a bit now.
Double Ninja'd!!

Same both, I got a wasp in my ear as a kid. It went in backwards, you can imagine how that turned out.
I also hate The Slender Man...
He's like an evil Santa, sneaking into your room at night. I've found he gets less scary once you start drawing pictures of him, it gives a sense of control over it.
O_O
Great, I was about to sleep, too...

*Hides under covers*

Good point though. Thanks :)
Anytime, my good man. :) Remember, fear is the mind killer, once you control it, it cannot hurt you.

Cookie to anyone who gets the reference in that last sentence.
i believe that would be Dune...love that book series...now WHERE MAH COOKIE!! lol (no seriously...i'm starving >.< )

OT: don't really have any irrational fears...but i have a serious fear of losing my sight..which was not helped yesterday by the eye doctor telling me he saw the beginning of a retinal detachment in my eye >.< (luckily turned out to be an infection, so no surgery, just some medication for a while)
Since you said you're starving you get a mountain of cookies.
And aye, Dune is a great book/book series.

Aye, I can imagine as well. I think the closest I can link it to is when I fell into a pit full of stinging nettles. I had a really nasty rash for a week.

Horse-flies [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse_fly]. I'm fine around any other bug, but as soon as one of those fuckers get around me I panic. I just can't stand them at all.

Bugs. But I long since turned that fear into outright hatred.

I also can't stand open water, thus boats.

Me too.

I'd say my most obvious one at the moment is I'm teriffied that if I lean against a wall for too long it will absorb me and I'll be gone forever, but still alive enough to know what's happening to me.

Fear of the sun, fear of sexual oriented things, fear of people, fear of congregations, fear of congregations of people, etc, etc, etc.

But I do not have any of the fears everyone has written.

I have a fear of dieing, not death, but the actual process of reaching it. Also, remember the Scary Thread? It creeped me out so bad that 3 days ago I had trouble sleeping. Then 2 days ago I still had trouble sleeping. Now I am fine.

Arachnophobia, particularly spiders. Most arachnids a perfectly harmless but they give me crazy willies.

Anytime I'm in a moving vehicle (car, plane, it doesn't matter) I can't help but think of all the horrible outcomes that would occur if I were to crash.

I have a fear of bats. Nothing else, just bats.
I was traumatised as a wee child because they were swooping down from the trees in my garden, just above my head. I thought they were trying to bite me.

I know they won't hurt me now, but they still scare me for some reason.
