Wait, shouldn't this thread be about the real 'exclusive titles' behemoth, that is PC gaming? You're halfway there by mentioning Microsoft, but you named the wrong system.
Yeah well most pc exclusives are exclusive for a reason not because their exclusivity was bought.

Was it because it took them 4 months to get it working?
The only CoD dlc I ever bought was for MW3 and that was because it was half price.
I don't know I just don't feel like playing another long game and the dragon thing... I just don't know.

About COD, I never bought a map, never if it was for me I would never bought those games, but my brother likes those games and have them on PS3, that gives us more time to play online without beign kicked out.

I know what you mean. I feel the same way about TV shows like that...that go on and on and you can't miss an episode.
My wife got me into CoD. There really aren't many decent split screen games like that anymore.

As a PC gamer i'm not pleased with it, but i can understand why they do it. While others ***** and moan over it their console owners get to experience it first and that gives xbox some advantage over other systems. Thats actually quite allright with me since i have a ton of unfinished games and i still haven't even beaten Skyrim. What pisses me off more is the fact that they don't give a shit about gaming on windows.

Try arcades games, like scott pilgrim or stuff like that, those are fun to play.

Nope.

I *am* sick of exclusives, in general, though. Especially the "time limited" exclusives. Both Sony and Microsoft do it, so they can both kiss my big Italian ass. :p

We do but not as much; we played games like that to death in the 80s. We need more big budget titles with split screen like CoD & Borderlands...and not just shooters; a co-op Assassins Creed would rock.

I am much more disheartened by the awesome exclusives the PS3 gets. DC Universe, a free to play mmorpg, White Knight Chronicles, a few Tales games, Journey, Uncharted. They got some badass titles while the 36o is stuck with shit games like Gears of War, Halo and such.
Sorry to say but White Knight isn't as good as it looks. It gives you a character/avatar, that has no importance to story.

On the topic of exclusivity: On games it can be good for sales of consoles, but on dlc which is for games that exist on multiple consoles and PC its just stupid. You're screwing yourself out of money, especially from people who have an issue with getting it after everyone else. Plus PS3 owners deserve SOMETHING after the huge diaster that was our Skyrim. Yeah they fixed it, but it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place.

No,

It's an extra incentive to get an Xbox360, even then, Dawnguard was released with a bit more bugs so the Xbox360 version was a test play for PS3 and PC. (Though I had no problems throughout the DLC at all, it was fun)

So yeah as the title suggests, I'm extremely sick of the Microsoft and their Xbox exclusivity bullshit. Obviously the most recent and still active example of this is Dawnguard. Now when I first heard about the exclusivity for Dawnguard I was pissed, but not surprised. This is not a new trend in games to have the expansions come out on Xbox around a month before PS3 and PC, but those expansions generally did come out around a month after, and in some ways it was a good thing because many of the glitches were fixed. Now Dawnguard came out for the Xbox on June 26th. Now, a month and 6 days later we don't even have word about when it will be coming out.

Now in some ways this may be a good thing, since the inevitable glitches have more time to be fixed. However a month should be a long enough time to get things fixed up. So I feel like all of us PS3 and PC users have waited long enough for this expansion. Additionally the amount of advertisement for the game is getting obnoxious. Every other youtube video and every single Escapist video has an advertisement for Dawnguard, and yet only a third of the gaming population can play it.

So does anyone else feel as frustrated as me about all of this? Do you think we can expect the same bullshit when the next expansion comes out, since Microsoft has exclusivity for the first two Skyrim expansions?
Dawnguard is a big add-on, man. Get some patience and chill. You can't expect the devs to just work tirelessly like a sweatshop to get everything to you on your schedule.

I don't claim to know this as fact, but I would deduce that since XBLA players pay for the service that MS does backroom deals with AAA title Producers to make the content exclusive for a bit. Hence why PS3/PC players get shuttled to the backburner. Sorry but money makes the world go round and a few extra dollars or maybe a reduction in fees for patches and the like from XBLA goes a long way in a corporation's mind when making things exclusive.
Paying customers always get a better deal in the end. You may not like it but it is how things work.

EDIT: Also, I may be wrong on that point so take it as you will. With CoD its well known and published that XBLA/MS had a deal with Activision for exclusivity rights so its not a stretch of the imagination to think that Bethesda did the same for Skyrim. PC I'm not sure why its taking so long, but for PS3 users such as myself i'd imagine since there's hardware limitations on the PS3 that made for major bugs (although some were fixed) that porting Dawnguard isn't necessarily an easy thing.

EDIT 2: It also might have to do with the fact that Skyrim sold more on 360 than PC and PS3 combined. And that it still is the #1 console sold overall.

I am not sick of xbox exclusivity because I have a 360.

I don't think it's really that much of a big deal.

I don't mind exclusive games, its exclusive DLC that bugs me. I bought Tomb Raider: Underworld on Steam recently, and was really sad to find out that the DLC for it is an XBOX exclusive, which is silly. If you have the game on multiple platforms, release the DLC for all platforms as well.

BTW: loving Skyrim on my PC, can't wait for Dawnguard!!

Xbox 360 and PC Gamer here, and there is absolutely NO WAY I would buy Dawn Guard for the Xbox over the PC. I have plenty of FREE MODS to keep me busy on PC Skyrim, and really just don't care. If you have a PC that can run Skyrim normally, but would rather play it on PS3, you're doing it wrong...

In regards to games having exclusive content for console, who cares? Street Fighter x Tekken had 5 extra exclusive characters for the PS3, but it sold substantially less than the 360 version. This was a dumb move on Capcom's end, especially considering the DLC fiasco that came along with it.

timed exclusives are fine but what bugs me is when DLC is not brought to every platform the game was released on.
and i weep for the poor unfortunate souls who can't just mod in crossbows and proper vampires.

Dawnguard was just kind of ninja released, on Steam at any rate.
Yeah I was pleasantly surprised when I looked on steam this morning so I thought I'd come here to see if what everyone else thought but not many people aware apparently. I actually really want to hear what Bethesda has to say about that releasing that statement if they were going to release it soon.
