Is it just me or will American troops' stupidity never stop?

Ok call me crazy but they kid was smiling as he backed away. It was pretty obvious that both of them knew it was a joke.
(btw I'm a marine deploying to Afghanistan in a couple of months)
On the puppy video, believe me. Every marine has felt the repercussion. People are play freakin' cowboys and Indians (Native Americans, sorry it didn't have the same cliche' effect)without it hurting their career. (A career they are stuck in till their enlistment is up)
and to put my argument in short sentence. Even though half the marine corps are people who flunked out of High school. Please oh please don't judge us on the one $h!t bird who is stupid enough to do something completely offense, TAPE IT, AND POST IT ON YOUTUBE WITH HIS FACE IN THE VIDEO.
the guy who did this is probable one of those glue paste eaters in the back of the classroom.

Yeah, this doesn't worry me that much because the kid's clearly quite happy about this and finds it quite funny. I'm more worried about the number of people who put kittens in microwaves. There just aren't enough of them. Screw you allergens!
When you're in war with very little you find ways of entertaining yourself. None of theses are offense because none are dangerous. It's just the way you'd mess with some kids at school. It's all in good fun because fun is a rare comoditty over there. These kids arn't offended or hurt by the soliders and vice versa. They're all having their fun in whatever way they can, leave 'em alone.
(As for the puppy throwing thing, that was a bit much. But when you get used to shooting, and getting shot at, people all day a puppy's life doesn't really mean much)

Sorry, I... have a -slightly- lower respect for people who volunteer to join their armed forces, but the impact of that decrease is diminished if the person in question is a nice guy/gal in general.. I don't have enough patriotic sense to even respect Norway's army.. Conscription is primitive... I'll shut up now.
Now, I personally wouldn't throw a puppy off a cliff, but seriously, you dont need to get all mad. It's a puppy. One puppy, you don't need to kill/maim someone for killing a puppy. Don't want you all to, but I know you will, because apparently cuteness is so very important. I dunno, but no need to dole out serious punishment for killing a puppy. Yes it's animal cruelty, but seriously people.
Edit: Yeah I'd want to beat the crap out of him if I saw him, but not permanent injury.

Singling out American troops as stupid is absolutely the most mindless thing I've ever heard. Yes, the military does employ idiots... everybody employs idiots.
The only difference is that you don't see McDonalds employees on the news every day for something like burning a dog.
Scratch that, you do see the employee on the news, but they don't bring up the fact that they work at McDonalds when they talk about the stupid moves that they make.
I'm more than a little angry about this, because I have 3 friends in the marines, all 3 of them are in the middle east right now, fighting for Bush's stupidity.
I will not tolerate people talking bad about the bulk of our military over what an extreme minority of the soldiers do.
