They're not in Iraq to protect america, Iraq posed no threat to the safety of america. There were supposedly WMDs there but none were found which just proves it was an entirely pointless war. While I admit that he does come across as a careless jackass (I mean, come on, the kid could have been rigged and they just let him waltz over to them), if people think this is the worst invading soldiers have done, they are sadly mistaken. The kid is still alive, so that's a good start.

I'm glad the troops did that. Now they can see what people in other countries are saying about them on the forum. If they're ever against those country's troops maybe they'll shoot a little straighter.
BTW, that puppy was an explosive designed to look like a puppy. That soldier saved lives. If I had kicked it, it would have been because I thought it really was a puppy.

In real response to the thread, I'd say that everyone who calls this guy names is just plain overreacting. Now if the soldier handed the kid an ARMED grenade, then THAT would be bad.

I wish I could watch youtube, but since it says I need the latest flashplayer, which I downloaded 27 or so times and it still says I need it, I had to search through this thread to see what happened in the video.
from what I read I deduced that a door was kicked in, a live grenade was handed to a kid, and some cursing in front of said kid also occured, please correct me if I am wrong.
plus, the kid probably went through worse shit in his life than swearing, so thats not that big of a deal. But the hand grenade thing I read about here, he kid probably has dealt with grenades and guns and violence all his life, so he would most likely know enough to not get hurt
But why does everyone make fun of the soldiers?
sure, they are asses and do stupid things, but they are sent to fight in wars that shouldn't even exist in some country they never wanted to go to fighting for a cause they don't believe in, and add on to that the fact that they have to leave their families for years at a time, their only contact with their families through notes video chat that doesn't even work that well.
Who wouldn't turn into an asshole and do stupid things.
