Is it just me or will American troops' stupidity never stop?

Well, I didn't bother watching the vid and I'm not going to talk about the puppy thing I glimpsed. But from what I have heard from a Canadian soldier is the the Afghans either dislike or hate the Americans. The exact reasons I am not sure of. However, this soldier I was talking to was actually fired upon by Americans that for one, didn't have common sense and two, were not following the codes of engagement.

Also, even though I lived in the states for awhile, I do find that some parts of America are stupid. Like, with Charlie Wilson's War, when it came to glory, the States were all over it. They got those Russians out of the Middle East and the world was like "Yay!" Charlie had raised the budget from 5 million dollars to 100 million dollars.

When the war was over, Charlie asked for 500,00 dollars to build a school. And those involved in making the decision denied him. He wanted to build a school to educate the people so that something bad wouldn't happen to the country. Well, without those schools, it lead to the situation it's in now. The Taliban! Wonderous!

In the words of Charlie Wilson, "These things happened. They were glorious and they changed the world... and then we fucked up the end game."

Weapons are not toys. Not ever. Waving explosives around is not responsible, whatever the circumstances, especially around kids. Mistakes, misfires and the like do happen, however trained the person handling the weapons are.

There is a reason the main source of American casualties in Iraq is accidental shots fired by their comrades.

(This being said it's obvious that the soldier didn't do it out of bad intent or anything, so I have a hard time being mad at him. It's the principle.)

On the puppy video, believe me. Every marine has felt the repercussion. People are play freakin' cowboys and Indians (Native Americans, sorry it didn't have the same cliche' effect)without it hurting their career. (A career they are stuck in till their enlistment is up)

I don't think it was a real puppy. The yapping was off, it never moved at all (despite being grabbed by the scruff of it's neck, like a mother would do, a puppy would still move a little, especially if there were people) and it didn't seem to spin right.
