And the rest of the people would simply play the game, and forget about if it has a stance by religious terms. The Athiests can whine all they want, since you're playing a game about historical events, regardless of whether or not it lies in some context with religion.Machines Are Us said:A good one? Yes. The atheists would ***** about propaganda, and the Christians would say it "trivialises" the Bible.

exactly
I've really tried to think of one. I'm a Christian and I've always wanted to make a good Bible game that would encourage people to read or maybe consider the Bible. Subject matter is difficult. I'm having trouble thinking of something.DrDeath3191 said:I realize that the Escapist isn't exactly the best place to discuss religion, especially Christianity. But I want you to ignore your own personal religious or anti-religious stances for this thread. Is it possible to make a good game based on the Bible?
I think so. You'd have to stick to the Old Testament, because that's where the most action is. The folly of many Bible 'games' (and I use the term VERY lightly) is that they don't take the subject matter seriously. Take, for example, Moses saving the Jews from slavery. Make that a pulse-pounding stealth/escort game. Don't make it a kiddy platformer!
Anyway, that's my stance. How about you guys?
Your trying to start a fight aren't you.murphy7801 said:yer im sure the bible will have something its like one of the longest fiction books out there
