Is the hatred for EA really justified?

I don't really see the big deal with EA. I've personally not been cockslapped by them. I actually think the first and only EA game I have is Rock Band. Let me look at that list to confirm.
edit:
Okay, so Rock Band is the only EA game left in my house. The list below would be what I'm basing my non-hatred off of. These are games I've played or owned. Sure some were bad, but overall I'll say I had a good experience with them.
007: The World is Not Enough (2000) — Nintendo 64, PlayStation
Boom Blox (2008) — Wii
Burnout Paradise (2008) — PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows
The Godfather: The Game The Blackhand Edition (2007) — Wii
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (2004) — GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003
Need for Speed: Carbon (2006
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit (1998) —
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) — GameCube, PlayStation 2, Windows, Xbox, Xbox 360
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Black Edition) (2005)
Road Rash (1994) — 3DO, PlayStation, Saturn, Windows
Road Rash (1991) — Amiga, Atari ST, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Gear, Genesis, Sega Master System
Road Rash 3-D (1998) — PlayStation
Road Rash 3: Tour De Force (1995) — Genesis
Road Rash II (1992) — Genesis

EA doesn't make good games, they buy companies that make good games. What you have to understand is EA slaps it's name on anything it markets or sells, NOT just what they produce. They tried to buy Take 2 JUST before GTA4 came out just so they could get a slice of the profits. A large number of their titles, especially the good ones, were made by companies that EA simply bought up- sometimes just before the games release.

From a corporate perspective they're a triple A set, from a consumer or artists perspective they're bloodsucking parasites. They're the Real Estate flippers of the electronics entertainment world.

For the most part, we hates it
The individual developers under their wings are not evil but they themselves are evil.
It's good to know then that my cousin is not any antagonist.

Untill watching ZP I never heard a word against them. I do beleive their sports games are becoming quite repetitive though.

Just sport games are. Soon we'll reach an age where you buy one and just are able to update the stats and such, then ocassionally a new hard copy will come out with some gameplay updates. Well, we can hope.

We're talking about EA. Not a game in particular.

For each good game made by you throw at me I shall hurl 10 poop games back at you.
Fine, but we'll follow the 3/5th's clause. Every 5 sports games counts as 3.

That's the reason why EA couldn't buy out Take-Two because of 2K sports. It would've given them a monopoly and the Govt. was ready to step in.
