Pretty sure this was done the other day but......

I live in Tennessee. It's known for 2 things; racism and intolerance.
really I was in Tennessee a few weeks ago visiting family...
OT: I live in Sacramento it's sort of the capital of California...
Oh really? Where were you?

I smell a new derailed thread this evening ^-^
I was in a town just outside of Nashville I don't remember what it was called... but they had a Hardee's which is called Carl's Junior in California...
Ah yes, we have Hardee's all over the place here.

I'm actually going to Nashville on Saturday for a concert. Hurray for concerts :D
Who might you be seeing perform?
The Pixies.

One of my all time favorite bands and I get to see them front row!!! ^-^
yeah the Pixies are great...
I'm gonna go see the Gorillaz in October... I got floor tickets for me and my GF... but it is in Oakland so I don't want to be mauled...
Meh. Never really cared for the Gorillaz too much. Not at all in fact :/

Still, cool that you get to go to a concert with your lady cousin, correct?

Too bad it's in Oakland....

Well, East Aurora has Vidlers, a Five and Dime store.

It also has a pretty cool population.

Also my family is a bit of a town legend there. Mostly for sports and community shit, but it's still kinda cool.

For a time, the largest producers of cotton gins in the world.
We were one of the towns where The Grass Harp was filmed.
We have the best damn highschool football team in Alabama.

Sadly, nothing really major other than the hometown of a Major League Baseball player, two NFL players, and a contestant of Survivor.

City of Steel, 'nuff said.

All kinds of movies have been filmed in Pittsburgh, a few celebs were born here, that sort of thing. It's Pittsburgh, it's just known.

Mines got Sainte-Marie among the Hurons [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sainte-Marie_among_the_Hurons], which was the first European settlement in [what would become] Ontario.

Otherwise it's just popular cause it's the main hub in cottage country...

Ah, well that's understandable.

Shoulda sued his ass though.

Pretty wimpy to be throwing a snapple bottle.

That's like saying "I killed a guy with a Zima bottle"

Washington Irving lived here for most of his life, so the town is named after him.

He's the guy who wrote "The Headless Horseman" and "Rip Van Winkle" by the way.
