I just pulled this up for a read. Was like, hmmm looks cool, then realized that my name was on the list as a maybe. Then i remembered that i commented on how i was going to go to it cause it was after my 18th.

Well, i just confirmed it, I'm going. :D

I'd consider coming, but am something of an Escapist n00b/lurker. However I will say that similar Good Game ([link]http://www.abc.net.au/tv/goodgame/[/link]) events have been awesome in the past.
(Actually, do any of you people use the GG forums under different usernames?)

Well, I won't be going.

Something about a complete and utter lack of money, and potatoes.

Damn that sucks. We will steal you another time!

In addition we have a banner for this year. Similar to last year, but if you pay close attention you might spot a difference. It's in the OP.

Double post away!

I've just put a call through for booking. Wooo yeah! Also, I've edited the OP to include a note about outfits.

Let's Play Dress-The-Dingo

Indigo Dingo, our Head of the PS3 Fanboy division has announced his intention to come in a costume to this event. A whole shin-dig. Suggestions can be submitted either in PM to him or in this thread.

Guidelines:
-Nothing too time consuming. He's got two weeks, including university to do this.
-Nothing too expensive.
-Reasonable in bulk. Nothing that's going to result in him walking around with a packing box about his middle.
-Easy to make.

I will be taking a camera for the result, by the way. While his face my attain it's usual censorship (he requested it last year) the outfit will not. Perhaps a mask..

Okay, my chances of making it are very good. I just have a few issues that need resolving.

Firstly, how much money will I need to bring up with me? What do you anticipate, taking into account lunch and other stuff? Also, will we be going to Pancakes on the Rocks? I love that place, and if you're going to the Bowling/Laser Tag place I'm thinking of, it won't be far away.

Secondly, there is the issue with my parents. My dad will probably turn up with me to Central Station and leave, just so he can get a good look at you guys. My parents are afraid that you guys might be the most elaborate, cunning and patient criminal organisation around, and they are pretty paranoid about me hanging around people I met on the internet. Some would say they're being protective, some would say they're being over-protective. Me? I think they've been watching Taken one too many times.

Thirdly, thanks for the offer Indigo_Dingo, I would love to come. However, I won't be able to turn up. Shame, I would have loved a beer/games night.

By the way Lab, thanks for organising this. It's a shame I missed last time, but I am anticipating this one with great... anticipation.
If you need someone to say hello to your parents, I'm cool with doing that. Considering my age it might put them more at ease too. I won't turn up in anything too.. extravagant. Great to have you along!

As mentioned in the OP, it looks like the event itself will cost about $37 each. I recommend bringing more for lunch and what not. Would be awesome to go to Pancakes On The Rocks.
Lovely, that's fine by me then. There is a little issue with my cousin's 21st, but if I leave at 5pm (the scheduled time) I can make it.

By the way, don't you think Indigo would make a great Splicer?

With some liquid latex and a bit of creativity he could pull it off.

Oh, and plaster. Just in case he wants to re-enact the most awesome level from Bioshock.

For those who don't know, it's Fort Frolic. And I swear that it's an homage to the Doctor Who episode, 'Blink'.

Damn I'll be too far north visiting family. Next time hopefully :) Have fun :)
Poor excuse, your family would understand that you'd rather meet a bunch of strangers you've barely spoken to.
We're not that scary for people from the internet... *looks over at Labyrinth* well most of us.

Make him go as a Helghast, that'd suit well - its PS3 exclusive and he can cover his face with the red glowing eyes mask. Perfect!
