You mentioned that before, where ever did you get that from?
Using the inventory

"'The immobile warrior is never fatigued. He cuts sleep holes in the middle of a battle to regain his strength.'"

'The ruling king is armored head to toe in brilliant flame. He is redeemed by each act he undertakes. His death is only a diagram back to the waking world. He sleeps the second way. The Sharmat is his double, and therefore you wonder if you rule nothing.

The construction kit

?Vivec put on his armor and stepped into a non-spatial space filling to capacity with mortal interaction and information, a canvas-less cartography of every single mind it has ever known, an event that had developed some semblance of a divine spark.

All is part of CHIM

"CHIM. Those who know it can reshape the land. Witness the home of the Red King Once Jungled."

http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:36_Lessons_of_Vivec,_Sermon_12
" 'I told you,' Vivec said, 'I am meant to be the teacher of the king of the earth. AE ALTADOON GHARTOK PADHOME.'

With these magic words, the King of Rape added another: 'CHIM,' which is the secret syllable of royalty.

Vivec had what he needed from the Daedroth and so married him that day. In the hour that Bal had his head, the King of Rape asked for proof of love."
Well, I guess you can take it that way, I'll just ignore it since it's rather silly. If this really was the case they could at least make the inventory look less... Artificial.

To be honest there is only one way the civil war can have a "good" ending.
You absorb Alduin and gain the ability to transform into the Dragon king. You then go and defeat both Ulfric and Tullies, take control of the empire as well as the Dragon and Draugh armies and go to war with the Thalmor.
You then utterly destroy them because you are a ****ing dragon and they are not.

I saw it as a simple question of self-determination. Ulfric followed Skyrim's customs and is the legitimate High King. Even if he is a racist and a nationalist, if through the customs of Skyrim he's the High King they end up with, siding with the Stormcloaks is the legally right thing to do.

I was a Nord.

The Empire tried to put me to death, and they've banned the worship of my main god to appease a foreign power.

I'm not standing for that.

Throw in the fact that the Rightful King under Skyrim's traditions was being denied his right, and a little bit of right to self-determination, and you've got me happily driving the Empire from Skyrim.

... When I was a Bosmer, I never got involved in it, and as a Redguard I ended up playing the Imperials (just to play that side of the quest).

All in all though, me personally, not as a character but as myself... I'm siding with the Stormcloaks. Yes they're not perfect, but they're having their religion stamped on, and I grew up in this modern world of ours where occupying a country and stamping on their religion is generally considered a bad thing.

The empire feel like the better choice, I'm peeved they sold Hammerfell out to the Thalmor, and the Thalmor are complete spastics for wanting to kill everyone who worships the greatest hero known to Tamriel. Stormcloaks picked a fucking terrible time to start a war with the empire and if not stopped will be the reason Tamriel falls to the Thalmor.

Also the confrontation against Ulfric as his enemy is superior to the fight at castle dour.
Have you ever considered that maybe Titus Mede "let Hammerfell go" was because he thought they could drive The thalmor out?

Well The Redguards are known to be the single best fighting force on Tamriel.

I find it possible that Titus Mede knew
-That The Empire needed time to rebuild
-That The Redguard's continued attacked on The Thalmor would lead to a war again before the Empire was ready
-That the Redguards were very well likely to drive The Thalmor from Hammerfell if given the chance.

Letting Hammerfell go not only prevented another war before The Empire was ready, but it also allowed the Redguards to stick it to The Thalmor and widdle down more of The Thalmor's forces for when the Empire did attack again.

Furthermore despite the strained relations with The empire, The Redguards are not so vain as to not help The Empire when the Empire attacks The Thalmor again.
