Strawberry Panic.

Yes, its a completely silly shoujo ai anime with more chliches than characters but it was entertaining anyway untill the last episode...

Three couples/relationships got resolved and while I was happy with 2, the final one threw me into nerd rage. People act like this enough in RL, why can't fictional characters be more reasonable?

Fallout 3 was awesome until the Reavers and Overlords came. Now I have to watch my back every time I see a group of ghouls or super mutants. And the damage variable for the overlords is utterly ridiculous

MGS2: after the tanker blew up. Raiden takes over and generally just sucks

LOST: after they nuked the island. The entire 6th season and especially the finale

Of course the REAL ending is that the military packed up, flew off planet, & dropped a couple of 500 giga-ton nukes on the entire Navi species and their flying velociraptors too. After the radioactive dust settles, the military puts on their Haz-Mat suits, pisses on the ashes of the elder tree, and mines whatever they want out of Pandora. James Cammeron simply ended his movie too soon, this is the crap that happens after that dude opens his eyes.
Ideal ending, but impossible as the bad (good?) guys in Avatar were not actually the military.

It was just a private company with a particularly well armed security detail. That means no heavy planet destroying strategic weapons like nukes, hell they had to resort to flying over the spirit tree and literally dropping a load of mining explosives out the back. Yeah, lots of guys talking of army experiences but all Ex-army, now just "PMC".

So they have no nukes, as if they wanted to be in good standing with the US when they return to earth (with or without unobtanium) they can't be having what will likely always be weapons exclusively in the power of governments.

I look forward to Avatar 2... just in hope that Cameron corrects for this liberal trash as the US marines return - not for unobtanium - but for revenge! A clever plot detail would be to make it that unobtanium becomes worthless (economics) and make it just about the realities of their insurrection as the Na'vi have to answer for that.

The Harry Potter books, til I called the Snape/Dumbledore relationship and all it contained within the last few pages of OotP and the first chapter of HBP. I hate having deductive skills, ruins mystery books, twisted plots and some dinner conversations.

Heroes

Was good until the end of the first season, which ended in an unbelievably anti-climactic way, and then absolutely NOTHING happened in season 2.
I second this notion, to a degree. I enjoyed season 2 a little, but season 1 was genius. Season 3 was the point where I quit, just because it was so extremely badly written. They even ruined Sylar for me. He was probably the only character left that I liked, and they just had to change him!

Halo 2, The Ending. I really enjoyed Halo 2 and loved the dual storyline with the Chief and the Arbiter, but the way it ended really soured me on the entire game simply because, well, they didn't end it at all. The game should have ended with one final Chief mission to at least bring about a little closure.

The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. The first book in particular is great, and the series as a whole is very good. However, at the end of the sixth book and the first part of the seventh book, the story pretty much goes FUBAR. But then it pulls itself together and finishes quite decently.

I also agree that Death Note should have ended after a certain half-way point.

Let me see if I understand you - you want the humans to come back to get revenge for their casualties that occured when they decided that the native people's lives didn't matter and it was completely acceptable to firebomb their entire city-state?

I will never understand the people who are angry that the humans lost. Not only was it plausable (as people said, they were PMCs, they didn't have nukes), it was morally satisfying. The humans showed up on a planet they had no claim to, adopted a militant stance from the very beginning, told the people already there that they didn't really matter, were largely left alone even then, and then decided that that wasn't enough and they needed to get at a particular spot under the dwelling place of an entire city-state. Then, after the natives said that they weren't interested in leaving, their solution was to go all Dresden on the place. But I digress, clearly the humans didn't deserve to lose.

I'll agree with Death Note for this, but for me, it was only great until the half way point.

Why keep going after something like that? Why ruin what could have been a near perfect series, which would have had a great ending if it ended right there? It felt like nothing but, "Now for my ultimate challenge. Outsmarting children!"

Everything after the death of L was almost completely pointless to me, and made me hate it.
Yeah i think that they should have gone on another like 10 maybe less episodes and then
had L die and just have his Dad figure out that he was Kira or something im not sure maybe just let kira win i wouldnt have minded a world without crime no real problem there

I have to admit the ending to Devil May Cry: The Animated Series concluded in a "Because I'm Dante" anti-climax fashion. I still love the series but I hate that each episode would leave you wanting more only to get nothing.

Still kicks butt, Smoking Sick Stylin' butt!

Pokemon:Battle Frontier. The annoying-ass new voice acting. The final, meticulous scraping away of what little characterisation was left after Advance. The plot that repeated episode after episode after episode, without even a hint of attempting to mix things up. FUCKING DOME ACE TUCKER.

My childhood died the day that season aired.

Should be spoiler free:

I am in the middle of book 6 of the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I liked the first couple books. But I had a thought last night while reading that nothing is really happening. I mean I could of condensed 6 500+ page books into a 100 page short story and still would of gotten everything. I guess I am just not happy with the pacing and the fact bad things continually happen to the main characters to the point that its become almost comical.
I forget which book that is but I can say I wholeheartedly agree. Its like Goodkind kept trying to one up himself on how much he could fuck with his main characters without out right damning them to his universes equivalent of hell.
OT: the final season of 24 was great right up until:
1) Dana out of nowhere went from being a victim being blackmailed by her Asshole ex to a greedy ***** betraying her country for money
2) They decided to kill off Renee. PERIOD can poor poor jack not ever catch a damn break

I sorta agree, but that series was just so damned good. It has a lull in the middle of it though, I admit. From Faith of the Fallen on it's more or less perfect though.
