Gotta agree there, it probably falls under mindless violence more then anything else.FargoDog said:I don't really think it's horror ecchi either. There's nudity, but it isn't sexualised enough to be ecchi in my opinion, and it could only be considered horror in the amount of blood shed.Dr. wonderful said:*In awe*FargoDog said:I have a t-shirt of the DVD boxart of Elfen Lied my friends dad made for me, so it's pretty much this

in t-shirt form. I've been asked about seven times by people I don't know 'So.. You like hentai then?'
Also, people find my fedora hat strange for some reason, which I only wear to gigs.
"...Wait a hot minuite! Elfen led is't hentai...It's more like Horror ecchi....Anyway cool T-shirt Bro.
I dress in suits, tie or not.

I have never been to America so I don't know how it is over there (only what I see on the Colbert report and the daily show2012 Wont Happen said:Well, as America is quite likely the most politically ignorant country in the world, a lot of people mistake the red star I wear as Nazi paraphernalia. When I explain to them that it is Socialist, they claim that Hitler was a Socialist. When I explain to them that:
What they call "national socialist" was originally the single word "Nationalsozialistische" not "National sozialistische", that it is not just a form of Socialism but an actual distinct ideology more accurately translated without the space as "Nationalsocialist" and that their belief is based off of word-play and propaganda rather than any form of reality, they usually tell me it is "communist bullshit" and that they are right because Fox News/Rush Limbaugh/Glenn Beck said so. To be fair to the rest of America- I live in Texas. Some states are better (Vermont elected a Socialist to the senate) and some are even more ignorant. In general though, what I said is a standard American response.
The moral of the story is- I want to move to Europe.
While it's not my favorite, I still liked it, even with its kinda weak story, it was definitely not boring =3FargoDog said:Mmm, I also agree and yet I still love that show..Silent Lycoris said:Gotta agree there, it probably falls under mindless violence more then anything else.FargoDog said:I don't really think it's horror ecchi either. Tis one of my favourites, but mainly because there's a lot in there I find relatable. Not that I've ever known mass-murdering mutant girls with split personalities, but with the more subtle themes.
[sub]However, it would be awesome if I did happen to know some mass-murdering mutant girls with split personalities[/sub]
Relax peeps. I'm not a nitpicker regarding this stuffSilent Lycoris said:Resistance is futile!!FargoDog said:Am so tempted.. To derail thread.. Like last time.. Must resist.. Oh, to hell wth it.Silent Lycoris said:Snippage to keep it smallish =3

I do get the occasional comment about my dress sense (IE, mainly black)![]()
I've got a tat myself on my right arm of the cover of ...And justice for all by Metallica. Funny thing is when people don't know it and ask what it means for me and I start explaining, their eyes just go blank right in front of me :Sswolf said:Well, I have a cross tat which makes people think that I'm Christian...no, I'm not. Not any more.
Other than that...um, I have a vampire bite tattoo (got it before the big vamp craze) which means "new life through a painful transformation" to me. Got it as I was turning my life around and trying to "leave my old life behind". It makes sense to me.
Hmm, I also have another tat which people misinterpret from time to time. It says "Live fast, love hard, die young". I've heard people say that they think it means a bunch of different things including that I have no care for my life. To me, it's quite different. "Live fast" is a reminder to me to take chances, not let life pass me by. "Love hard" means to love with all your heart, take that risk because the reward is worth it (I have a beautiful wife and daughter now). Finally, "Die Young"...well, I feel that you're only as old as you feel/allow yourself to be. I'd like to think that, if I live my life by the above ways, I will die "young" (doesn't have to do with age).
(BTW, I don't regret getting any of them other than the cross but I plan to get it covered by something else...just haven't decided what yet. The other two, well, they're good for conversation.)
