There is but one show remaining that is remotely good.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

And Boba Fett's set to fuck that one up right pretty if the season 2 finale is any indication. Damn kid's whinier than Anakin ever was.
Agreed. I find this show painful to watch at time, even before Boba. "I saw Bane die, but I still sense him..." Really, Anakin? REALLY?! Maybe that's because HE'S STANDING RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!...sorry. Star Wars fanboy.

Cartoon Network is dying. Nick is dead (good bye, Doug, Hey Arnold and the rest), Disney is dead, Tech TV is dead and X-Play has been turned into a freaking zombie, and they took away Disney XD from my cable, so I have nothing to watch. Boomerang, when it first came out, sounded like something for my parents, but it's showing shows I grew up with. Wish I had it back.

On the bright side, I think some people at Cartoon Network may be listening. Old shows are slipping back in. Kids Next Door, Ed Edd n Eddy, and My Gym Partner's a Monkey (though I was never a fan of that one, it's still better than everything else). Maybe they will realize their mistake. Maybe...

Whenever I see a kid watching that channel anymore I feel sorry for them. It's pretty bad, a bunch of vomit and toilet jokes, shite animation, and it just feels so borderline r-rated all the time.
Hey man, Ren and Stimpy got away with it and that used to be on Nickelodeon all the time ;o) hehe.

Seriously though I agree. When I was younger, cartoons were fun and the characters were cartoony, (Doug, Rugrats, Count Duckula etc) even when I reached my late teens they were silly (Fairly Odd Parents, etc) and I don't understand why cartoon characters today need personal issues. It's just wrong.

Cartoon network went downhill because they wanted to go the same way as Disney the money way.
A TV station with cartoons and such should never been run on money but on good quality programms (if that's written right) and there and only then should they start making money.
Unfortunetly the homo sapiens is a very greedy race so that will probably never happen.

Cartoon Network....sad, I remember sititng back with my folks and watching the old Warner Brother's cartoons, and the newer stuff (I.E. Dexters lab and Jonny Bravo) we could enjoy as well....but yeah Real action shows and terrible new shows ruined everything, and no deemographic for teens other...that was Toonami

Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Cow and Chicken (Guilty Pleasure), and that's about all I can remember.

Crimsonshrouds,I think nostalgia may be clouding your head.I liked Cartoon Network 10 years ago as much as the next guy,but CN is geared towards children. That is never going to change. I think it may be time to just move on and find other channels to enjoy.Having said that,if you want to talk about TV channels that have gone down the shitter talk about G4.It went from something that as a gamer I could watch all day to a bunch of Spike TV wana-be crap.

Total Drama Island aint so bad actually.

Hopefully though, Adult Swim will contine to expand into more CN time till its the whole network. I can dream cant I? (AS used to just be two nights for a couple of hours...so its expanded quite a few times over)

that I can agree with....I loved Cheat, it is a lot easier to put in cheat codes and do strategies when you see it on t.v.

Took ya long enough... Cartoon Network died after Toonami died. It's been dead for a damned long time and every time I go there it just kills more and more of my childhood.

There's far too many shows I miss to list. Suffice it to say I was moderately addicted to the channel when it was actually good.
Completely agreed. The only time I ever watch Cartoon Network now is late at night when Courage the Cowardly Dog repeats, probably because it's the last trace I can find of good cartoons on that channel (ironically). I've not noticed much in the way of live action beyond a show or two, but that might be something that varies by country.

Not that I really look nowadays, it's almost painful watching the decline.

Oh, how I miss the days of Cartoon Cartoon Fridays :`[
I've not really watched much tv lately, and what I do watch isn't CN for the crap tv shows on now. If I ever need my cartoon fix, I just youtube an old cartoon I haven't watched in ages and rewatch a few episodes. Good stuff and nostaglia, and there was an abundance of good animation back when that the well hasn't run dry yet.

I won't forgive them until they bring back Samurai Jack. That was the only cartoon I know of that didn't rely on slapstick and toilet jokes.

*sigh* This network is tragedy bound, isn't it? Time to bury it now, even with it kicking and screaming.

Cartoons these days are pathetic.

Meh. As long as it's entertaining to kids, and brings in ratings, they'll keep doing it. Shame, that, but hell, it's not like I'm their target audience anymore. Least not before 8PM-onward...

You know, if you're going to make a case for how good CN used to be, it'd be better if you didn't use mostly dubs as your example. Why not originals like Samurai Jack and Power Puff Girls. Using dubs as an example just feels like a cop-out to me because they weren't made by CN or WB, where as the cartoons you are referring to as being bad were made by CN or WB.

At this time, the only shows I really like on Cartoon Network are Generator Rex, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Code Name Kids Next Door, Batman The Brave and the Bold, and Star Wars: Clone Wars. Ben 10 Alien Force had a good premise but it was kinda kinda.. ruined over time. And on Adult Swim they have the crown jewel that is Venture Brothers, though I also find Boondocks, Titan Maximum and Robot Chicken to be enjoyable.

Also, I thought Edd Ed and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Brovo, Cow and Chicken and so many other cartoons like those were just absolutely terrible. Ugh the jokes are bad and they're just painful to watch. For that reason I can't really say it's any worse now than it was back then. Though I'm still irritated at the whole Live action series crap going on. Give me back my Timmverse cartoons uugh curse you Cartoon Network for canceling Justice League!!
