Cartoon Network is going down the same dark road as MTV, they've started sacking off quality shows for cheaply made pop culture rip offs and there slowly starting to sneak in live action shows that are little better than web shows. they even made there own version of MTV 2, Does Boomerang ring a bell?

boomerang has been around for years and unless its change boomerang has only and always showed the classics of cartoon network...

Except Boomerang actually has some damn good shows. It's where all the good Cartoon Network shows go to die. You can find Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack, and even old classics like Popeye and The Pink Panther on there. Admittedly, there is also a fair share of crap, but it's still a LOT better than what the official Cartoon Network has become.

Genndy Tartakovsky was the biggest reason Cartoon Network was ever anything more than mediocre. I don't believe they have any shows of his on now, do they?

Took ya long enough... Cartoon Network died after Toonami died.
Most truth ever to be uttered.

I miss Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, probably the last good thing from Cartoon Network. But I really miss how they used to show Reboot.

Bring back the Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Grim Adventures (One last good program from a dying channel) and whatever else I've forgotten. Cartoon Network was what I used to watch for hours when I was a little kid. (I had a slight American accent because of it).
Also, Shame on you Andrew WK, get back to making music and leave CN alone.

God I loved Gundam Wing. It's still one of my favourite anime, and every time they repeated it I had to watch it end to end.

Power puff girls (embarrassed to admit that i liked it -__- lol)
It was three super-powered girls beating the crap out of everything that moved with a DnB backing track. The show was genius, and pretty violent. Hell, Toonami made most of their ads using that formula, and it always worked!

I rarely watch TV anymore, thanks to Youtube and The Escapist giving me my cartoon fix. Whenever I do watch TV, I usually watch Aqua Teen, or the Simpsons, or occasionally Adventure Time. Most of the shows on Cartoon Network are shit though.

Guys do you think our rage is based entirely on us growing out of cartoons? when the kids that watch these shows grow up they will probably rant about this sort of thing too.

Also Does anyone remember robot jones?
Isn't it ironic that it was called 'Whatever Happened To Robot Jones?' or something, and none of us can explain its disappearance?
very ironic, i missed that show, i remember the Rubix Cube episode
That episode is actually available for download somehwere on the net, however, I can't remember where. I think that episode and the first are the only episodes that ever made it onto the internet.

edit: Huh. There are actually quite a few episodes on YouTube. I swear they weren't there when I was looking for them a few weeks back.

From what I heard, kids of today didn't appreciate the '80s references in the show, or something along those lines, so it was cancelled.

Still hate them for banning Bugs Bunny cartoons like Russian Rhapsody, or the one with Bugs fighting a Nazi the the Black Forest.

I myself, being the perfect age group in which everyone already believes I'm stupid (or high) and bound to do this thing, enjoy walking up to my friends and yelling "DESTROY, BUILD, DESTROOOOOOOOY!" or yelling to my friend "HEY EDDIE! WILL OUR WINNERS THIS WEEK BE THE MAAAANGLERS, OR THE JUGGGGERNAAAAAAUTS!"

We also figured that the host of the show might actually be God.

And the "Dude, what would happen?" stuff is fun too. I love going around saying "DUDE, what would happen, if we like, tried to make popcorn... with a TORNADO.... MADE OF FIRE" (Note: This was an actual idea they did in the show)

Yeah its all crap, but hey, I like to make the most of it.

Also

What happend to Courage the Cowardly Dog? That show was like Prince of Persia and this new stuff is like... uhm..... Farmville

As much as I like anime, did you have to list off so much Toonami? What about the "Cartoon Cartoons"? Courage the Cowardly Dog you got, but you missed Samurai Jack, Powerpuff Girls, DEXTER'S LAB, and others.

Hurr Durr, Everything was soo much better in my days Hurr Durr things are always going downhill Hurrrrrrrrrrrrr.

God Damn I hate people with their damn Rose tinted glasses. Cartoons Sucked as much when I was a kid as they do now. And the Good ones are just as good.
Like that Ben10 Cartoon. I watched that with my Nephew a while a go and found myself really enjoying it =).

I should really appologize for Hurring at everyone, but honestly... No, I'm sticking with it seeing as I'm getting a lot of Hurrs from people lately, I feel as though I wish to vent on this thread.
I have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. I won't be one of those people who say absolutely everything today sucks and absolutely everything back then was awesome, but I honestly stand by the belief that the ratio of good shows to bad shows was much higher back then. Toonami consisted of one segment, Cartoon Cartoons consisted of another, and Looney Toons rounded off the end. I do admit Ed Edd and Eddy and Cow and Chicken became wearing after a while, but the other shows stayed good.
