I thought western animation died when Spongebob became a "hit". But thats just my opinion

Took ya long enough... Cartoon Network died after Toonami died. It's been dead for a damned long time and every time I go there it just kills more and more of my childhood.

There's far too many shows I miss to list. Suffice it to say I was moderately addicted to the channel when it was actually good.
IMO: Toonami killed CN, but I always hated the generic anime they force-fed kids before the invention of Bit Torrent.

OP: but I LIKE Andrew W.K.
Had no idea he had anything going on when it came to television, tho. o_O Dude used to make great music.

I noticeed this problem at the very moment it started. Once Cartoon Network started having those movie nights and actually showed movies instead of cartoons, I gave up on the network, knowing they were slipping down to the level they are now.

Ever thought that the kids today enjoy it?
Y'know, the ones that are at the age when you used to love all the shows?
Because it's a kid's channel?

I really miss G Gundum allot. I never even go to see how it ended and Samurai Jack. *sigh*
G gundam was one of the best, Along with Outlaw star (Should have lasted longer if you ask me) and Kenshin, but what can you do, Oh, and remember how Saterdays on adult swim was going to be for anime? Bullshit.
Yea that lasted how long? Not every long. Oh I miss Shin Chan when they had it on Adult Swim.

OP: So your complaint is that the Cartoon Network no longer has a lot of terribly dubbed anime?

Come on guys; Dexter's Lab, Rokko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers...

It doesn't matter about this one, there is no way kids wouldn't love it.

None of the toon channels are worth watching anymore because it's either retarded teen pop live-action, some super-childish animation show that only speaks gibberish (this is especially the case in Norway) or just downright shitty shit.

I only watch Adventure Time from Cartoon Network. That silver shine that bled through the crap shows mentioned is my favorite. It's got Derek Drymon from Spongebob but whens the last time you saw the grim reaper offer a demons heart to a kid and a magical dog who wanted to know what it tastes like...now that's awesome. Chowder comes in second place then The Marvelous Mis-Adventures of Flapjack in third and that's it. There are no other shows I see on Cartoon Network until the weekend and Monday's because Adult Swim during the weekdays is just re-runs.

Cartoon Network does seem to be improving a bit with stuff like Flapjack, Chowder and Adventure Time. But it was so much better back then.

At least Adult Swim is awesome.

The same way that "MTV MUSIC TeleVision" has practically no music on it anymore. Seriously, I remember, when I was a kid, where that was the only thing that was on MTV. Now, it's just garbage "reality shows" that are so obviously scripted that it's laughable. I don't understand how people can deem those shows as "entertaining".
