GREED, ENVY, MERCANTILISM, CORPORATE WHORES, BUISNESS PRICKS, FORGOTTEN VALUES AND FALSE PROMISES TO COVER LIES, CHEATING, THEFT AND MURDER! YAY!

GO HOLIDAYS!

I love this time of the year, because it gives me an extra-special sense of satisfaction to be a sacrastic prick to everbody and thier false sense of goodwill and forced merriment. I got asked last year why I went out of my way to shit all over people's holidays, and I told the guy that I don't. It's just more noticeable because everybody's lying to everyone around them with thier "Happy Holidays" well-wishing bullshit and that I was just more visible this time of year because I refused to lie to those around me by wishing false happiness upon them.

That's a lie, I'd love to live in Iceland... But not in December!
Why not in December?.Traditionally it's 12 days but it's only celebrated over 4 days. And you get to legally shoot fire works on new years eve.

Over here, all the christmas shit started appearing in stores in late september.
For me, christmas starts as soon as the delicious pinnekjøtt hits my frontal face hole on December 24th. Aside from all the good food, I really don't care for christmas.

Christmas starts, at it's very earliest, the day after Thanksgiving. It runs, at it's very latest, to January 6th.

Christmas starts when I put the decorations up. Usually around the 15th of December. But I might do them a bit earlier this year :)

It annoys the crap out of me though when people put their christmas decorations up in November. Same with towns turning on the lights.

Nnnnnnnnno. You're at least four weeks early. Make it five, just to be sure.

A few reasons...

1) I'll better avoid the Christmas hype.
2) It's cold enough as it is, screw going in winter.
3) In the UK you can fire off fireworks anytime of the year... Well I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get arrested for it.
4) If there are hot (female) mountain guides I'll ignore all of the above and come...

2)It only goes down to about -15 celcius when it's coldest.
3)Can´t beat that.
4)There are hot female everything here in Iceland. That includes mountain guides.

Christmas starts in the evening on the 24th and lasts for 24hours for me if my family gets lucky that year. Most years I just ignore the fact it's christmas as I'm not christian.

Minus 15? Only? Yeah some places are colder still... That's cold...

I hear Iceland is actually a really good place to live actually. It either has the lowest or the happiest people per 1000 or something like that?
If your female population is good then I don't see why there'd be problems. Plus you have those nutters that drive cars across water don't you? That's awesome...

I'm not a fan of the family gatherings but I, for one, love Christmas. I like the music and I like decorating. So there! Bwaha!

I usually wait until after Thanksgiving (though, I will listen to Christmas music through November). Once December starts, I decorate how I please. I definitely have a Christmas tree. I've had it since I was in high school.

There are more women then men here so i guess that's a plus in your books.

...most of you seem to hate holidays for reasons I can only presume take you away from your computer for too long.
I hate it because everyone is so bloody cheerful and smiley, it makes me sick. Blaaarg.
Er no, actually I do like Christmas. Consumption of mince pies and mulled wine will remove all your other, lesser earthly desires.

For me it always starts when the brass band down town starts up a Xmas number. Yes, it's 1909 in Wales :p

I could have easily have said "when it starts raining and Woolies decorate", but oh wait.

Same here. It's only the middle of November, and my city is acting like Christmas is a week away. I'm sick of all this holiday cheer already.
