Important! Please spoiler tag all videos from here on in, I didn't realise how quickly the number of videos would add my browser is having a seizure trying to load the first page! XD

I've lurked these forums for quite some time and I've noticed a trend when it comes to music orientated threads - most are rather aggressive in nature.

"What would be you battle music?"
"What song gets you pumped for battle?"
etcetera.

So lets take it back a notch, and relax. After a crappy day, what song lets you unwind?

Embedding Youtube videos is cool, but try not to dump huge lists without using [ spoiler ] tags to spread them up.

To embed Youtube videos simply copy the part of the url after "v=" and add it to "youtube=" with brackets. Example:

The video I wish to embed:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=MktPGmRC8vU

I take the bold part and add it too:
[youtube=

Close the bracket, and I end up with this:

And there we have it, my first choice for this thread!

While I do love Austin Peralta, what really brings this piece together is Natasha Agrama's vocals. I'm not even interested in what the lyrics are, I could listen to her sing for the rest of my life. It's simply beautiful.

Once again, it's not really about the lyrics for me but the voice.

And my example from the embedding guide.

And please, be respectful of the choices of others, I don't want this thread to be any more aggressive than the music we're posting. Debates on musical tastes are almost always exceedingly pointless anyway. =P

Nice thread, nice music. Nice.

Here's some of my favourites.
Some Doors... People are Strange. I bet there is no escapist who can't find himself in the lyrics. ;)

And you can't have chill music without Marley. Here's my favourite. Lovely text, lovely music. What more do you need?

And some more the Doors, because I really, really dig the Doors.

Quite literally the only music in my ears for the past two, three days. Love this guy.
Also, OP, nice selection!

Alright, I'll try to link a new song every post in this thread - because it's got me feeling so good. This thread needs some Blues while we're at it.

Nice music.
Brilliant! This thread needed some Marley and no music collection is complete without some of the Doors. Though you missed the Doors best track:

I'm a sucker for piano music;
I couldn't agree more - solo piano tracks in particular for me. For some reason it just sounds so expressive, and makes me feel the way few other instruments do. Your tracks are fabulous by the way; and here some more piano for anyone else who loves it:

And for some variety in this post, some Cello:

The entire suite is fantastic, but I particularly love the prelude.

Great music, great music everywhere.

If you've got three quarters of an hour, listen to this:

Some more brilliant music unrelated to the quotes below, because awesome.

It holds a special place in my heart, as I did a performance of Peer Gynt when I was a little kid. Morning was my first introduction to classical music of any kind.

I'm really, really enjoying that so far. I guess I'm going to have to make three quarters of an hour to listen. =D

Yhe most chillingest of teh chills!
Heh, I never really could get into Ghost in the Shell but it has a superb soundtrack. That said, if we're taking music from anime, there is only one possible answer for the best:

This has to be one of my favourite songs from a soundtrack, ever. Perhaps one of my favourite songs, without further qualifier. Simply beautiful (some great covers as well!).

It got to be this, seriously this guy is a god a remixing vocals from Disney and other movies while adding his mix into it!

Eh, I really liked the "Up!" mix, but I wasn't impressed by any of his other works to be honest. That doesn't detract from that particular mix of course, it's still fantastic.

Oooh, good call with Albatross and fore the others; simply being "cheesy" doesn't make them any worse. In fact, some well place cheese is pretty awesome.

I love me some Anathema and some ambient electronic music.

I know this sounds corny, but sometimes when I wake up my alarm plays this music. When the sun is bursting through my rather large windows... its kinda magical, it really is.
