Okay...question. Wouldn't then being a famous author, actor, CEO, etc. etc. after testifying invalidate that testimony? I mean how can someone as violent as I am, (hypothetically) become a famous author who's work, although science fiction somehow reaches into new depths and examines the human condition. Wouldn't I be too busy hopping on people for coins, or pretending I'm an Assassin in 14th century italy? Or one of a million Space Marines. (not Warhammer 40K their cool) Or is this like 'double jeopardy' and once it's passed it can't be unpassed.

Also in this situation has the Supreme Court's ruling that Games are protected under Free Speech happened? Cause this case would be thrown out right away if it was.

If he tried to bribe me here in Aus, I'd first make a clear audible recording whilst he's still outside my screendoor before heading down to the back of the house and calling the cops about some madman at my front door claiming to be an lawyer from America ranting and raving about wanting to ban video games.
Get him locked up in the local gaol then tried under Aussie and US law for impersonating a real lawyer and trying to bribe for testimony in his bullshit crusade against video games, and let him get deported to Gitmo where he belongs.

Yeah, I know it's not as clean as shooting him and prepping things to make it look like he was about to try and rob you at gunpoint, but satisfying none the less. :D

HA! Definitely. That 20% chance of losing is fine with me! Especially consider why ever I was in the U.S would be temporary. I'd simply take the millions of dollars, move back to England and live out my life with a laugh that I've done something to crush the hopes of the people wanting 'call of duty modern warfare 3' in the U.S!

Here's what I would do:
I would go to some of the major gaming companies and tell them about his offer and tell them I would accept it unless they gave me a bit of "Persuasion" (If you know what I mean) to not do it, then if a few of them did give me some "Persuasion" then I wouldn't testify and I would buy Video games and live quite comfortably for the rest of my life on that "Persuasion" that they gave me.

I would take him up on the offer, for a considerable sum of cash.
I would also refuse to testify, assuming that with his reinstated license he would have to fulfill my reward under-the-table. I report Thompson to the authorities for buying false testimonies and live like the proverbial king with my mysterious pile of money.

Well, if I testify and he loses anyway, will he still grant my wish? Is the wish granted as a reward for just testifying or does he also have to win as a clause?
