Maybe this will be an alternative for artists who don't have a TV 'look'...but can sing. Since TV isn't about to showcase 'ugly' talented people any time in the next 300 years I'm all for something like this.

Wow! Makes you feel like you stumbled into Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Still, I think I'd be a bit wierded out going to a concert and cheering for someone who can't see or hear me, or anyone else in the crowd. The Japanese seem to have an amazing capacity for suspension of disbelief.

Macross Plus and Deus Ex 2 figured this stuff out a while ago. Odd to see those kinds of explorative SF elements being proven correct.

I prefer duo's with the twins Kagamine Len and Ren, but Miku is still the first, and so deserves much credit.

Though it gets really annoying really fast.

Also, the recent Vocaloid Iroha is fairly good for rock, despite not enouh people using her for such.

Anyway, though, the rection people here are having is funny. This stuff hapaned a while ago, and Vocaloids have reached basically every part of the internet, and yes, that includes Western sites, so I'm surprsed people didn't know about the Vocaloids.

Seriously people, it's one of those things you should have some knowledge of just be beng on the internet.

Well, ignoring the initial creepiness this seems like a good idea to me to be honest. The whole hero worship, "larger than life" treatment celebrities get doesn't usually turn out very well because a rock star is still just a person. He has a bad day, he throws a tantrum, his wife dumps him, he gets old or has throat problems, and he can only do so damn much in a single day. Make the celebrity fictional, no such problems. They can just continue on being whatever the public wants, wherever and whenever they want them. No mental breakdowns, no impossible work schedules, no drug abuse, no alienated children constantly getting harassed, just entertainment. Really, this isn't all that new. Is Mario anything other than a virtual celebrity? More importantly, could an actual person pull off the kind of career he has? I don't think so.

Music kinda blows IMO, but REALLY?!?!

We have holograms now?? THAT'S SO FUCKIN' COOL! I don't care if this news story is late, or anything, because I just heard of it right now, and it's pretty damn awesome.

Well.... it's official.
I shall not be purchasing any 3D TV set untill they can produce this kinda thing in my living room. And by "this kinda thing", yes I do mean 16year old japanese girls. Giggidi!

Anyway moving on...
