For me, I wanted to be a politician.

But then I found out that I needed to have some sort of Law Degree(Or at least it would help a lot). I didn't want to be a lawyer.

I now do the job I always wanted to do but it took a long time to get here and had to take some drastic career choices along the way but it payed off.
If you really want it, the hard you put in at the beginning is always worth it.

I wanted to be an architect, but I lacked the creativity.
I wanted to be an engineer, but I couldn't handle the schooling.

Now I want to be a filmmaker but I don't have any idea where to begin and even less capital for movies.

I wanted to be an actor, but then I realized you need to be an arrogant self centered douche bag.

I wanted to be an astronaut, but I'm not good at math, science, or fitness. Also, I'm too tall to fly things in the Air Force.

I wanted to be a pediatrician, but I lack the money and patience for eight years of college, then three years or residency, then two to three more years of Residency before I'd even be considered a "Real Doctor."

Maybe it would help a lot, but you can get elected without doing anything at all too (South Carolina much?) ;P

I used to want to be a singer, but I figure being successful would probably require too much cocksucking for my liking. :|

I want to be a vet, but then I found out it would require a Bachelor of Science before I could apply, and a lot of hard schooling to get there.

Yes I am still interested why do you ask?

All the schooling of a doctor, with half the pay!

I wanted to be an accountant, then I realized I hate higher math.

I was going to be an optometrist.
But then I found out I need three A grade A-levels in biology, physics and chemistry.
And I don't even like science that much.

I'm also not sure how to spell it. Could've been a problem somewhere down the line.

Sarah Palin has a degree in journalism... Ron Paul has a degree in medicine.

A degree in law is not needed! You just need the support of the people.

I still want to get into politics and I'm aiming for software.

I would have loved to be a soldier but the bootcamps and the later deployment woudl suck.

I would have loved to be an astronaut but I'm not that smart, not physically fit, not a magnificent problem solver, but that I was born in Ohio means that statistically, I'm closer than some others and the pilot training would be badass.

I would love to be a pilot for jets or commercial airlines but the, "screw up and you die" is kind of not my thing.

I wanted to be a game designer, it wasn't so much what I needed to do to get there that put me off it was more the realisation that I would spend the majority of the time looking at a screen full of code for some shovelware, movie tie-in shit and not on one of my own ideas.

Which actor pissed you off?

Anyways, I wanted to get into programming, then I found out that I hate c++ with a passion. I then decided to try for therapist(or something along the lines with psychology) but my aunt does that and did everything she could to talk me out of it. Astronomy later showed up, but the amount of math required turned me off. So now I'm back to where I started after graduating high school.. not having any clue what to do :(

I wanted (and stil sort of want) to be a graphic design artist. Then I realized I was lacking a lot of the artist part of that little title, so that went out the window.

I also wanted to be an animator at an animation studio such as pixar, but they only take the best of the best of the best for those positions, and frankly I'd have about a snowball's chance in hell at getting a position like that.

So really right now I'm going to try and go to college and get a degree as a film editor or FX artist-type-thing.
