Seth was laughing as he stumbled upon the decks. It was a little more difficult to walk than he imagined, but he made it to the railings. With the railings to hold on to, he got to watch as everyone else began to fade into the distance. Though the propellers were somewhat loud, Seth couldn't find it in himself to care as suddenly he was higher in the air than he had ever been before, and was laughing over that.

This is absolutely.....something! I can't think of the damn word for it, but it is just....AMAZING. I have got to see if I can negotiate for one of these! Being this high up must be awesome all the time!

As they had finally apparently gotten high enough in the air, the propellers rotated, and then the ship began going in a proper direction. North, as it was. And it seemed the noise of the ship had begun to calm down as now they were proceeding normally....or so Seth assumed anyways.

"Once in a lifetime experience is right. HAHAHA! Man, why everyone else just looked from the window is beyond me! They don't know what they are missing!" Seth said to himself as the winds picked up from the now moving ship.

Drew walked away from the machines, still in awe of what he saw. "I wonder what else these people will have..." he walked back to his room, and heard a shriek. "Fei... probably freaking out about the ship moving." he went to where he heard the noise.

She got onto the decks eventually. She wasn't in any hurry. It made her a bit nervous to think about flying, when she had spent her whole life on the ground. The wind pulled at hair, making it flap behind and around her. It made it quite hard to see.

Phebe could hear someone laughing and she walked towards the railing where he stood. Something made an awful lot of noise. She placed her hands on the railing next to the man. He made a passing comment, probably not directed at her.

"Indeed. I've always wanted to experience things from the best point of view and if I fell from here... Well, it would probably only add to the experience."

She grinned, the wind kept pulling at her long hair. She had to admit though, that what she could see from behind her hair was impressive.

I think this could be an interesting trip.

Gabriel instantly tensed up when Fei grabbed his sleeve, clinging to his arm. She was panicking about the ship taking off, judging by that shriek she had let out and her stare at the window... Gabriel needed to reassure her somehow. Calming her down verbally wasn't going to happen, of course, so he did the only thing that made sense in the situation.

He set his awkwardness aside momentarily and carefully brought Fei into a gentle hug, trying not to scare her any further. Hopefully she would be reassured by the gesture, rather than continue to freak out with the movement of the ship underfoot and the sight outside. While it was amazing to Gabriel, he could easily imagine how it could scare someone like Fei. As such he placed himself between her and the window to the outside. Though he wished her brother were here; Drew would probably do a better job of comforting Fei than he would.

Alexander jumped up when he heard a shriek and got up before hastily moving to the sound of the noise. He popped his head in on the room Gabriel and Fei were in.

"I heard a shout, is everything okay?" He asked the two inside the room.

She calmed down a little, but still looked around for Drew. As soon as she saw him coming down the hallway, she ran past Alexander and jumped at her brother. "Drew I'm scaaared..." she sniffed, managing to not stare out of the window. "What if we crash, or if we start falling? I can't fly... I don't want to die..."

"You know I'm not gonna let anything bad happen to you." He said, putting an arm around her. "And this ship is fine. We aren't gonna crash or anything bad like that." He tried to move her away from him to give her a reassuring look. "I'm surprised you aren't enjoying this. I mean, you've always wanted to fly..."

Alexander fell after being knocked aside, hitting his head on the metal floor.

"Ow." He said as he rubbed the back of his head, a white glow covering the hand to make the pain stop. It was times like this he was glad to be a Lightdweller. Made the odd trip and fall practically painless.

"Oh, I was one of the first to board so I've been here for some time now. I was in my room until we took off though." Nydia replied as she looked around for another window to get a good view from. It didn't seem like there were any nearby though, so she resolved to go up to the decks once again. "I... was thinking about going up to the deck to see what the view is like from up there. Would you care to join me?" Nydia asked as she turned back to Cale.

"Yeah. It looks like I'd be a terrible flier." she pouted, more sad than scared now. "It's so scary. We're so high up, and there's no magic keeping us safe." She looked out the window briefly, but quickly turned away again. Pretend you're on a boat. A normal boat on the water. Those don't have magic either, but they don't sink a lot.

"I'd love to, Nydia." Cale said. He motioned for Nydia to lead the way and once she was in front of him, Cale began speaking again. "To think, we are riding what people normally dream of doing. I think that you've heard it enough but ,by the Gods, are we really on some sort of fantasy book aren't we?"

Seth paused, not realizing someone else had approached the decks, and grinned.

"Why hello there. Falling from here might be a grand experience, but might unfortunately be the last experience as well. Unless you know how to stop that sort of thing." Seth replied to the stranger next to him.

"Of course, I forget my manners. Or lack of them. I'm Seth. Troublemaker, barbarian, swordfighter, and Pyromancer, all rolled into one." Seth extended his hand, not really sure how else to greet people.

That bowing thing Nydia does doesn't quite....feel right. Maybe this will work better?

At the corner of Seth's gaze, he then noted Nydia was stepping upwards, and a Cale following close behind. Seth couldn't help but shake his head slightly.

Well, that was kind of random, wasn't it?

Aaron chuckled as he watched the newcomers all struggle with their new environment. Some didn't take as well to it as others, as a few shouts were heard from down below. Someone falling down, no doubt. However, as they continued their flight, it increasingly became to the time where he would have to inform the mages they were entering somewhat unfriendly skies, and that they would need to defend themselves, as well as the rest of the ship and crew.

Course, he could let them adjust for some time longer. They would do him no good stumbling about. Especially if they got sick, and he wouldn't have THEM doing anything. Running around spewing their guts around would be more of a hazard, and better confined to the room.

Gabriel blinked as Fei ran out of the room, knocking someone over on the way out. He followed her, stopping at the doorway. It turned out that she had found her brother: that was good, considering that Drew was probably much better at comforting her than Gabe was. The young Hydromancer turned his attention to the person Fei had knocked aside.

"Are you alright?" he asked before noticing the glow surrounding the man's hand briefly. Presumably he was a Lightdweller, and therefore able to heal himself of any minor injuries without any major problems. Gabe's question was made redundant by this observation.

It then struck Gabriel that almost everyone in the group of mages was considerably older than himself. Judging by the people he had seen in the Great Hall the day before, he was one of the two youngest mages on the airship... the thought was a little troubling, but strangely reassuring. Older mages were generally helpful to younger ones, most of the time. It was a bit of a shame, though, that he didn't have anyone around his age with whom to socialise, unless he somehow got over his ineptitude around Fei.

"Yes I'm okay, thank you. Sometimes I'm glad I ended up in healing magic." Alexander said with a laugh as he got up and held out his hand to the person who had asked if he was okay.

"Name's Alexander, and you are?"

Phebe saw him extend his hand towards her. She figured it was how he greeted people and shook his hand, with her own.

"No, I don't have that kind of powers." She said grinning, but stopped and let go off his hands.

"That's quite some titles you've got for yourself."

He'll probably think lower of me if I don't have as many myself.

She rolled her eyes, hoping the hair would be in the way for him to see her do it.

"My name is Phebe. I'm a dualwielder, since I'm trained as a pyromancer and a nightshade. I grew up as a nomad and I'm a trained archer."

She noticed that some others were also coming up onto the deck now.

"So... I kind of wanted to ask someone else if they knew why we're traveling by airship... Do you know why we're here?"

Seth shrugged, the handshake seeming to go slightly better than the bow, but it still didn't feel right. He really needed to find a better way to greet people. This was getting ridiculous.

"Nice to meet ya Phebe. Also nice to hear you training in two arts, which I hear is quite difficult. I prefer to just master the flames myself. Though I imagine throwing them around here would be a bit of trouble." Seth said, rubbing his hands together.

"Well, I don't know the ultimate reason we are here, but I know why I'm here. I'm here to get out of the Academy. See what the world is up to, what people are doing, and learn some more swordfighting if there is more to learn. Otherwise, I got no idea what is going on with our fascinating guests....or hosts. whatever you want to call them."

Phebe didn't have the same motivation to master the flames. She had caused the death of her father using them. Maybe mastering the flames would have made her feel better because she would have been able to control it completely.

"Yeah, it's not the easiest always, but I have some painful memories involving flames." She said and turned back to the railing, to look at the view. "I think that's the main reason why I started studying two."

She smiled when he heard what he said about the world.

"I take it you've spent most of your life in the Academy then? I've seen a bit of the world. We used to travel a lot when I was a child."

"Ah, I see. Self hating pyro isn't really all that rare, I imagine. I mean, flames can be some of the most destructive stuff out there. It can also be some of the most painful stuff to use." Seth said, going back to looking over the railing himself. Looking downward, and the question Phebe asked made him become introspective. While Seth couldn't be called a philosopher of any sort, he still had his odd moments.

"More like I spent more time fighting and living out of it than in it. Not much for travel, but...I know places and things. Academy ended up being a great break for a long time, but I think I've been taking a break for far too long. Know what I mean?"

......Did that even make sense? I hope it does. I get the distinct feeling I'm not a favorite right now. Though, come to think of it, I get the feeling the only favorite I kind of have is little Fei, who is closest to family I got. Man, if I had taken a break any longer, I wonder what else I would think of?

Seth was now gazing downwards, his mind working through everything that is going on, not even seeming to even register that they were in the air any more....nor the temperature slowly dropping as the airships continued on their path.

"Gabriel Westmar," Gabe introduced himself, accepting the handshake. "Hydromancer by profession... though I'm not very good at it. I'm only at the rank of Mage. Though I doubt I'm here for my magical prowess," he noted, trying to lighten the mood a little. A joke or quip was usually a good way to start a conversation. Alexander was probably at least Adept level, easily outmatching Gabe's limited power over water.

"So... do you know any of the others in our little band?" he asked, hoping to befriend the older man.

"I don't think I'd call myself selfhating, too much pride runs through my blood." She chuckled. "You're right that it's destructive though."

She sighed. A lot of things were destructive and she couldn't exactly do much to stop it. She didn't feel like she could do much, so she didn't do anything. The world could end if it wanted too.

Phebe felt a bit distracted, but listened to what Seth said anyway.

"Kind of. I've always wondered what my life would have been like if I had continued living with my tribe. Would I have been a great huntress or ended up dead in some ditch, killed by some beast... The academy was quite a big change to adapt too."
