If you're so obsessed with pop culture that you compare the death of one man to some of the most devastating events in history, then you obviously have some serious issues.
Are you retarded, inbred or both?
Wow...what a childish reply. It had no valid rebuttle and contained no useful knowledge.

Today pop culture weeps. Ferrah Fawcet loses her fight with cancer, and Michael Jackson dies of cardiac arrest.
Ok lets be honest with both their washed up carreers its not that big of a blow...Now switch these names with Paul McCartney and David Bowie and we have a situation.
I'm sick of people not caring about these deaths simply becuase they are has-beens. Any death is tragic, except for maybe a few deserving people, and since these two people were a part of most of our lives, we should all mourn respectfully.

If Gary Glitter dies, will he get the same send off?

And a shame about Fawcet, cancer sucks. :(
Sorry, I accidently hit 'REPORT' for you.

Moderators, just ignore that. My apologies.
You shouldn't worry about it, from my understanding it takes two reports to get put into the moderator-action file.

I've even accidentally reported myself a few times, no bad came of it.

I'm going to admit that I never even realized that you could report yourself. I guess it's true; you learn something new everyday.

Oh, it's quite true.

I've also added myself as a friend.

The reason is why we care about Michael's death and that allot of other people care is because he did something big, he revolutionized the music industry.

MJ was just influential on modern music as either of those two, if not more so. Regardless of how much you liked him, you can't deny he was a pretty huge effing deal.

Seriously, what's the deal here guys?

A post has been made with a view to show respect for two people that have died. Now unlike the many many who die everyday these two were famous enough that people WILL be affected by their deaths and hence why these posts are being created.

The amount of bile and frankly idiotic stupidity that is being displayed by the morons who have come in here to say anything other than RIP is beyond the bounds of reasonable human behaviour. People will want to show their respect and the last thing they need to hear is idiots popping their heads in to make snide comments.

If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything. No one is forcing you to come in here, no one is forcing you to acknowledge or even pay respect to these two people that have died, at least have enough common sense to stay away and say nothing if you have nothing decent to say.

RIP to both of them.

Dead celebrities are no loss to society, they suck up money and corrupt the youth enough as it is. All hail the grim reaper.
Ferrah Fawcet is my idol and role model.

She's had to deal with cancer, numerous operations and trips to Germany, the paparazzi saying she "wanted to die", her son being imprisoned on drug charges, and a constant pain.

She has had to deal with all of these and not once did she ever lose faith or give up on anything. She died a far better person than you or I will ever be.
What's wrong with trips to Germany? Why is that something to deal with? And her son being arrested on drug charges... come on, no one is above the law... Also, speak for yourself about the "better person" thing... people have endured much worse than her and don't get any recognition, and losing faith... in what? How do you know she didn't and why would that matter? You are putting her on a pedistal that she doesn't deserve, yes it is sad that she died but why is it that people matter most when they are dead?

I have never heard of Ferra Fawcet and i hated Michael Jackson.
This day may be remembered by a few, but it will not live in infamy. Days like december 7th 1941 and 9/11 will live in infamy.
2 famous people died. Why are their deaths so much more important than other peoples?
i second this and am offended by the title too
