You endangered other people and are bragging about it? You said it yourself, you already are paying off a ticket, you should have been fined again for repeated offense. It's people like you who kill people on the road.

On a happier note, you didn't actually kill anyone.

I don't speed. My luck dictates I will get pulled over if I ever do.
My mom knows literally all but two cops in the city, and she's only paid two speeding tickets in her life. If she had to pay a ticket for every time she sped, the U.S. national debt would be 20% paid off.

^^This^^

I cannot say I approve of endangering pedestrians either. I'm a very careful driver and have not been pulled over once.

Seriously.

I can understand 5 or 10 over, but 30 over? I can't think of a place where that's safe. I'm kind of saddened that you got away with it, to be totally honest.

I haven't had to talk my way out of a ticket, mainly because I don't speed.

Ok, first of all, everyone who is calling OP an asshole for speeding seriously need to shut up. Even if he was going 30 over, controlling a car is not difficult, if you know what the hell you are doing when you are driving speeding poses no more of a threat to anyone than just driving the speed limit does. It all has to do with the drivers ability to control the vehicle, and if OP was able to safely control his vehicle at that speed, more power to him.
You don't know much about driving do you?
The faster you are going the less time you have to react to any potential dangers e.g a child or animal in the the road.
Its harder to take a corner at higher speed.
The damage done from a crash increases greatly with every mph faster you go.

I thought this in particular needed highlighting. Its such an obviously foolish statement. I don't think i even need to explain why.
Please do me a favour and never drive a car. At least, not until you mature a bit and realise the speed limits are in place for a reason.
And OP: Well done, you cried like a girl to get out of a ticket. That really deserves a lot of praise [/sarcasm]

My step-brother got pulled over going 93 in a 55. The cop was like "Was there any reason why you were going 93 mph?" and my idiot step-brother says "Just trying to get home." It may have worked if it was like midnight but it like 6:30pm...

I don't know why everyone's on this guy's case, honestly. They "cry like a pussy" routine is...

Ahh who am I kidding? It's crying like a pussy. I'm actually picturing some fat gamer dude with pigtails and a little frilly pink hair clip thing.

He's gonna drive and I bet he'll drive in California. Ever since I've moved here that has been the only mentality I can imagine that would justify how fast and recklessly people drive.

It also is why I'm not the least bit surprised that every day I see at least a dozen different cars with heavy damage from accidents driving around. Many of them still driving like madmen.

The OP is probably in my state now, I feel bad for the cop, just wants to do his job and has to listen to some entitled kid fake crying. Probably didn't give him a ticket because he was the 20th person that day to do it and couldn't deal with it anymore.

Interesting to note that the woman who killed a foreign exchange student (who hadn't been in the US for even a day yet) stated nearly this same argument months prior when she got in multiple accidents. The city was Bellingham, Washington, and worst still the school newspaper tried to make her sound like the victim.

There is no such thing as safely controlling your vehicle at those speeds, because there are too many variables that you will never have control of.

The sad part is that by all likelihoods you will hurt someone very bad in your lifetime if this is what you believe. Someone who likely hasn't done anything deserving of a lifelong injury. But then the future prospect of maiming someone doesn't tend to matter to folks who really need to get somewhere 5 minutes faster.

I realize we are all mortal but good gosh, life isn't that short (well it is if you drive 30 over all the time).

I speed all the time, but I have these lights on top of my vehicle that make it ok. All the cops around here know me anyways, so I never get pulled over anyways.
