Just found out what Cosplay is. Who would you be?

I was actually thinking of Faldio Landzaat from Valkyria Chronicles the other day (as I'm kinda in the process of finding out what I can cosplay without spending too much money for a convention later this year)

But, since I'm a bit lazy I'd probably go with Saiga Tatsumi from Speed Grapher. It's easier to be a photojournalist with the power to kill by photos.

I love cosplay, and usually make a new outfit every year I go to the local anime convention. I went and Allen walker from DGM and Ed from FMA, and also bought a Chii dress from Chobits that I wore to prom (without the ears). This year when I go to youmacon I plan to dress up as

I love the guy's uniform and I won't have to gender bend to do that one.

Ideally, I'd probably go for Watanuki from xxxHoLic. Having glasses makes it difficult to work out a decent costume. I'd also have to get a black wig.

At the moment, however, I'm working on James from Team Rocket for a convention down in London. There's about a week until it's on, and it'll likely be a little naff. However, I'm mostly cosplaying because there's an improv show there, and I need a costume to take part.

you've been on this site since 2009 and only now just found out what cosplay is? Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you on that amazing feat. Secondly, I've thought about who I could cosplay as but I don't really know of any characters that I'd like to go as that matches my build. I'm big (245 lbs.) and tall (6'2") and most video game / anime characters just don't match with that. I've thought about Ryu from Street Fighter but too many people probably do Ryu since its easy to do.

I would have to either be Ichigo in Bankai/Hollow Mask form or Byakuya, both from BLEACH.
Or Vegeta from DBZ, also, wouldn't it be awesome to dress up as a Gundam?

But if I could then I'd dress as my character from Runes of Magic (nerdy I know XD).

Haven't done cosplay before, but last year 2 of my closer friends took me to a convention last year, where they dressed up as Menoly and Loli from the anime Bleach. I, however, did not do any kind of cosplay, and while I had a great time, I was just in casual clothes.
Those same 2 friends are dragging me to 2 different Anime/Sci-fi/what-have-you conventions in Melbourne this coming year, so I'll be doing it sometime soon.

First convention will be me and my 2 friends going as a Trio of characters from Bleach. Myself as Captain Kyoraku, and the 2 girls as his 2 swords from that completely ridiculous Zanpakuto filler arc.

Second convention will be us 3 going in different costumes. For this second one, I'll be going as Natsu Dragneel (or "Dragnil") from Fairy Tale (don't judge it by the name, it's a considerably new but quite awesome anime so far ).

I cosplayed as Ivan from Golden Sun when I went to NYCC. Considering I started and finished the costume in the matter of a week I would say it came out pretty good. I just never got the chance to cut my hair so that that would fit too.
