Six and one that none of those answers are his.
who cares seriously, hes not the mindless drone you think he is and even if he didnt make the answers up but he probs knows what hes talking about and still believes in what he says
Of course, of course, you're right, I apologise. I shouldn't be so harsh to judge. I'm sure he is a well informed in all the issues facing the American public. I have to go now and fill my car up on unicorn farts and lepricaun tears and drive on down the hospital to have my cancer cured by puppy therapy.

I want to know why they're asking a 16-year-old teen "heart throb" (I guess) about health care and abortion. That is obviously not his expertise and I'm sure they only did it with the intention of causing controversy.

What's even more ridiculous is that people got in a huff over his comments on abortion in the case of rape. The boy can't even go to an R-rated movie (in other words, he can't view anything with sexual themes because the government believes he can't yet handle it at 16) yet and he's supposed to have a developed opinion on rape? Adults can't even decide that shit. Not to mention he was originally misquoted, and his quote wasn't really even that bad to begin with (especially considering his age/naivety).

He's got a point about healthcare, and his answer to the abortion question was somewhat unfortunate but at least he admits he can't really know having never been in the situation. He's sixteen, as they pointed out in the clip, at least he knows about this kind of stuff, and really his answer could have been a lot worse.
I have to agree, I mean seriously, why the hell would they even bother asking him about this shit? Did they expect a prime answer from him?

And... I cant believe I actually agree with him... Canada does have a much better healthcare system.

It's gonna be lots of fun to watch this kid have an epic flame out when he hits 18. I dare say it may well rival Lindsey Lohan's ongoing flame out. Just watch, the minute he's out from under the thumb of his parents the world will destroy him.

I'd completely forgotten he was Canadian actually. So, erm... cool? Every once and awhile I begin to get caught up in the whole 'hate Bieber' craze, but then I remember he's still only a 16 year old kid and I realize that would be silly.

Still just a kid, give em a break.

Ok he can't sing but he does make a great little communist. Just saying comrade... Which is really funny because he got rich off the capitalist system, where'dya think all that money came from? But the funniest thing about this whole thread is not the politics (or the fucked up source, no offense). Its the fact that anyone cares what a sixteen year-old thinks about POLITICS. What the hell does a kid know? Seriously, all kids do is regurgitate information in school they aren't taught to reason or care about their countries future.

I totally can't wait for this idiot to get in trouble for blowing his load in some underage fan poon.

It will be a glorious day.

Other than that, why does anyone give a shit about what any musician has to say about fuckin anything? Especially a 16 year old.

Methinks that Justin Bieber's beliefs on abortion come mostly from his mother...I've seen her on religious channels up here in Canada, she's a bit of a fanatic.

That's just the standard Canadian superiority complex towards Americans, it's fairly embarassing.

Because it gives other people a sense of superiority

In a rolling stone interview Justine the world most manly male gave his in depth genius options on Abortion and Health Care. Here's the vid:http://www.youtube.com/user/theyoungturks?blend=1&ob=4#p/u/1/5HoKF6NYA4s
so what are your views on this-comment and share.
Do you have a link to this stuff that isn't polluted by the boring opinionating and Captain Obvious whining of the festering boil on the Internet that is The Young Turks? I'd like to watch the footage and give my opinion but I refuse to watch any more footage of The Young Turks than is absolutely necessary for my survival on the planet (i.e none).
But......but....I

Oooooh, it's the Young Turks.

The Youtube channel that tries to be a super-serial news outlet, with a front man that is just as shouty and ignorant to other's opinions like Bill O'Reilly, a something-something-weather-lady who's just eye candy, and who continually dwelve into fascinating subjects like "Wow, Soulja Boy has a massive penis" (No, I'm not kidding, they did a news segment on that).

I'll pass
I LIKE THE YOUNG TURKS :( [runs of and cries]
I felt sorry for you just now, so I went and clicked on your link and tried to watch it, and then an ad came up. I thought to myself "nooooo! Advertisers are making money because I clicked on The Young Turks!" and I quickly closed my browser window so I didn't get to see whatever the fuck it was they were advertising. That was a close call. I realise the damage was already done by the click but at least I didn't get to see the product so if nothing else I can't knowingly go out and buy it.

A lot of the news that comes out of the US isn't news, it's "opinion-news". Just like religion and politics should never be mixed, "opinion" and "news" should stay right the fuck away from each other (something The Escapist also needs to learn in my opinion, actually). The Young Turks is a classic example of a typically American "opinion-news" show, which is as light on the information and heavy on the hand-waving, gesticulating and frothing at the mouth as anything on Fox. When I'm watching a news show, or reading an article, I just want the facts of what happened, I don't want to have the host's or anybody else's personal opinion about those facts shoved down my throat, I can make up my own mind about how I feel about what I see, hear or read. In any case, whatever Justin said or didn't say, The Young Turks horrify me far more than anything Justin Bieber could ever do.

I tried to watch it, I really did, but I failed. I sincerely apologise to you.
It's ok we don't all have to like the same thing ^_^. And i agree they are opinion-news and some times a really disagree with what they say but thats one of the reasons i like them i enjoy hearing what other people think about the world :p.

Ah, I remember being sixteen and raised in a born-again Christian household. Had I been asked then about abortion, I would have said the same thing as him. Now I'm older, have lived in the real world for the last five years, and understand there's more grey in that question than most Christians would believe.
May I ask like what?

Now, a woman that's been raped, that's a very gray area. It's still a life, but... she was raped. There's a chance that the kid may be better off not born. And there are other situations, I'm sure - I don't think the technology in abortion should be abandoned.

But in a normal healthy pregnancy where the only thing wrong is that the woman (a woman old enough to support the child) doesn't want it? Abortion is the absolute wrong thing to do, that's a life there. And if she doesn't want it, why not give it up for adoption?
My personal opinion here, so take it with a grain of salt: In the case of rape, incest, or possibly killing both mother and child, I support abortion.

However, I detest the idea of using abortion as a birth control. On the moral ground, that just sickens me. On the financial ground, it's much cheaper to get on the pill and use condoms than it usually is to get an abortion. If a woman can't afford to buy the pill, I know there's free clinics most places in America; I was barely scraping by on minimum wage when I got on the pill, and it didn't cost me anything up front. I recognize that tax dollars went into keeping me from getting pregnant, but I'd rather use part of my taxes to prevent a pregnancy than add another child to the foster system.

For those wondering why anyone cares about what an entertainer thinks about politics, this video of Matt Damon talking about Sarah Palin has 11.3 million views. The media organisations care about it because they can get attention and money from it. We are political animals, so combine that with completely over publicised celebrities and you get money. From the consumption end, I think its wanting to better know the entertainers you like, but it seems irrational to me. I don't understand it.
Despite people saying they don't care about him, I just looked at his Baby video(466 million views), and one of the three major age demographics watching it is male 35-44. It's not just teenage girls who care about him. Also, people talk about him all the time, usually in a negative way, but the interest is clearly there, or they would ignore him.

He may just be sixteen but hell, when I was sixteen I wouldn't have said something so fucking stupid.
Everything happens for a reason, in regards to pregnancies resulting from rape?
Little shit.

What is he running for congress now? Nobody takes him seriously except for girls who don't even know how to ovulate yet.
