I'm pretty sure that's not a Lego gun, I had a lot of Lego as a boy and I can't remember anything like that. But I do remember CORPS or some similar figure had more detailed guns like that.

Please, for the sake of my eyes people, stop quoting each other with that horrid picture in it, its starting to really gross me out!

OT: As a LEGO enthusiast I find this absurd that these people felt threatened by a LEGO gun. If fearing LEGOs that look like the real thing is a common mentality I'm grabbing my LEGO Star Destroyer, TIE Fighters, X-wings, and Y-wings and taking the world!

Should have bought the Death Star set...

I went to public school in NYC. The city has a very very anally strict policy on gun-SHAPED objects of any kind (there was a big spiel every year starting in 4th grade). Not only does it include toy guns of any/every size...it includes things that look like guns or are wielded like guns. So the kid broke school policy, and someone decided it needed to be enforced this time.

Also story time! All of the 6th grade teachers in my school got in a lot of trouble because of this policy when my class was rehearsing West Side Story, a play in which a character gets shot and the gun is used to make a dramatic point. After not being allowed a water gun, we were barely even allowed a pieced of L-shaped cardboard and "bang" noises. It's pretty ridiculous, but I don't find this news surprising.

Well, it's shocking and bizzare, but I'm going to treat it with a resounding "meh"...The Principal will look foolish and get a slap on the wrist by who ever the local authority is and nothing about this will be heard of again.
[sub]Terrible article by the way...[/sub]
Why terrible article, if you mean on my part please elaborate so I can improve.

You know the funny thing? There's actually a revolver that exists that's about that small. It's illegal in the U.S. for obvious reasons.

You can thank that knowledge on the one time I was forced to watch 'Manswers' a week or two ago. God, that's a horrible show...
I came across that show on Spike TV while surfing the channels one night. It almost crosses over into the "so bad it's funny" realm, but overall just sucks.

OH NO! HE BROUGHT A 2 INCH TOY GUN TO SCHOOL!
IT'S A GOOD THING THE PRINCIPAL CONFISCATED IT, OTHERWISE HE MIGHT'VE DONE SOME REAL DAMAGE WITH IT!

I... well you see... there's... you could... if ever there was a moment I was so speechless as now I, I don't even know. I mean c'mon a police officer had the gun in his hand there was no danger they're not allowed to shoot unless they have to unless that other lego figure was some how endangering lego police man's life or threatening a hostage or anything else there was no chance of that gun going off and killing anyone.

That plastic gun was made by the Chinese. Yes, the Communist kind! Do you see the threat now? DO YOU SEE?

I saw this on Yahoo News, thought it was extremely stupid, still think it's extremely stupid.
Although I was more enraged by the Monopoly remake, oddly enough.

This country has been and is continuing to produce soft children who will become very depressed adults. George Carlin saw it begin with the self-esteem movement. Now we have this shit where simple playing is punished.

Does anyone remember the movie "Demolition Man?" Hardly a prophetic movie, I know. But there's a bit in there about the future where Dennis Leary says: I've seen the future. It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing 'I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiener.'

Not necessarily an applicable prediction, but the idea fits the trend of childhood these days.

Woah! That was so CLOSE. Who knows how many people he would've killed before they could stop him without the heroic principal?

I remember people bringing fake laser guns into my school when I was in elementry school, or Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles with badguys with rayguns or sometimes guns from other figures. It's a bloody toy, get over it. If you see harm in a kid playing with a toy you might be crazy .
