All that just sound like a load of nostalgic bullshit.
Oh yes, because when people talk about how things use to be better and have more than valid points about why, they are just nostalgic because they can't be right because society never changes for the worse.

Yeah, no, that is the bullshit. Society can change for the worse and that is what is happening.

Edit: And I believe the professors that have to teach the messed up piles of nothingness that come out of grade school to the colleges. It isn't hard to see. The new generations don't know how to take care of themselves. They think every thing and all the answers should be handed to them. It is the type of generations that think they are entitled to things that aren't rights, like being able to pirate games because they are protesting because they don't want to pay the money or want to test it, even though it is illegal. It isn't a right it is illegal. The company can charge what they want for a game, the griping people of that generation aren't entitled to anything.

What the hell does this have to do with evolution?
The weaklings die out and the strong survive, the species evolves and becomes stronger.

That?s not how evolution works
What crazy bizarre classes did you take that didn't say that is how evolution works. The strong think creatively on ways to survive, and they do. The weak fall behind and they die out. The ideas and creations of the strong come together with the other strong and the species learns from it and survives.

Example:

An animal develops a camouflage to disguise itself to survive. The ones of the same species that don't, get eaten and die out. The camouflaged one passes its traits onto the next generation and they use the camouflage tactic. The way to protect itself and survive evolved that species, because the strong created it and survived.

It isn't hard to understand.

Hmm I see your point and I was just so anrgy at the whole concept that I went to far and said that it was imprisonment. But to prohibit kids from playing public areas is just going too far especially if there home doesn't have a backyard. Yes children should not play in parking lots and that's either the kids fault for not listening to there parents or the parents fault for telling them not to do that.
Though those public areas include the street outside there homes, if its a residentual area, which the area in question is, IMO is just wrong as all drives already drive slower because of the chance of children playing or just an adult walking their dog or even getting in and out of their car. There are going to be kids in reidential areas and they are going to be outside so let them play or otherwise your promoting them to stay indoors all the time since that is the only place they can play because kids don't do anything else but play
I found looking at Persimmon Place Condo, Edgewater, FL on Google maps to be very informative. It's just a big parking lot surrounded by little houses; this is where they hope to keep kids from playing.

There are literally hundreds of honest-to-goodness houses that have honest-to-goodness yards within two miles of the place. But for some reason, parents are moving into this one-block area with no real play space and expecting their kids to play in the street. The other folks who live there think this is inappropriate, and are trying to discourage it; the parents are then blaming them for the kids not having a place to play.

I'm not saying you are wrong, just go look up natural selection, evolution and micro vs macro evolution. You seem to have a broad understanding of how it works but some of it is a bit off.

Got any real evidence to make your claim?
As I edited my other post. The professors are enough proof for me. I see the growing problems here on the Escapist. Most of the younger people on here have a stupid mentality when it comes to gaming, that game makers owe them things. They think society owes them things and should give them what they want. When they were growing up, their parents did everything for them, planned everything for them, and gave them the things they wanted without working for it. Then they come here and spout their beliefs that society should just hand them the things they want and on top of that make sure that nothing bad happens to them.

Society needs to look back and change back. We need to bring society back to the times when people had to look out for themselves. People knew how to take care of themselves and they worked for what they had.

Now governments are too bogged down because to many people believe that the government and other people should watch out for them and take care of every need. This world is now growing more and more generations of people that will only be dependents that don't have the skills to function properly in normal life. We early on we aren't teaching independence and thinking for oneself. We are teaching follow the leader and obey the rules even if you don't understand them or experienced why they exist. Then when they get to college and the old college professors expect the new comers to be able to function in a normal class that runs like everyday society and a job, they struggle because they don't know how to think outside the box, they didn't develop the independence skills that would have helped them as a new adult.

It is happening all around and it isn't hard to see, people would have to be blind or have closed minds not to understand what I am saying.

Would somebody burn the people who even brought up this proposal please? It's an utterly idiotic idea created by idiotic people who forgot that they even have a childhood.

And with lemons. Burn them with lemons.

shouldn't parents judge for them selfs what,s safe and unsafe for their kids?
While we are at it we might as well make kids wear helmet,s and body armor on their way to school!

When I grew up we had lawn darts. If you weren't paying attention or throwing them at your friends it was mother natures way of culling the herd. Now stupidity runs rampant ... protected with a nice DOT rated helmet. This planet is DOOMED!

Banning tag? Tag, the game EVERY, SINGLE, CHILD, plays at one point in their lives? Really?

I have no words.
Oh, dear, good sir.. You have made me laugh this day. I very, very rarely laugh at these 'suitable pictures' but this one took the cookie, biscuit, and the whole damn bakery.

OT: I'm against it, but I'm also against McDonalds preaching to kids about getting more exercise. Like having a trained assassin telling you to drink milk, so you can have strong bones.. For when he breaks your neck.

Choose one or choose the other, fat, lazy kids with no self-esteem, or thinner, healthier kids with a few bumped knees and scraped elbows. A little accidental rough-housing never did more harm than the exercise did good.

Here's an idea, why don't you conduct a research with the purpose to find something that actually ever hurt someone.
How about 17 children(age 15 and under) on foot killed by cars in Florida in 2009? Does that count as "something that actually ever hurt someone"?

You know, I didn't think it could get much worse than when I read a few years back that they wanted to ban the story of the 3 Little Pigs in schools in fear of it offending Muslims.

I guess I was wrong...

Seriously though... What the hell is wrong with these people nowadays? They ***** and moan about child obesity and how kids are just sitting around playing on computers all day, and now this lot want to ban kids from playing outside? WTF!?!?!
If I was a muslim, I would probably be offended by all of these stupid bans. Because I'm pretty sure I'm offended right now.
Stupid politics...

Not saying I'm a muslim, but I'm 21 and I like playing in the playgrounds with my younger cousins. Needless to say, I'm alive and not permanently damaged and nor are my cousins.

And one more thing:

[...] despite your claims the average IQ score is rising.
Well... you might have forgotten to read this one [http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_quotient#Problems]: IQ =/= Intelligence.
SonicDoctor was talking about what the kids were taught (or not taught), and the concepts the society is shoving into their heads (actively or passively). IQ is a scale to measure mental capability, so I suppose it plays some part, but it's not the sole governing factor.

It's getting ridiculous -.- In England some schools make it essential for children to wear goggles if they want to play conkers! I know at my school we got banned from playing British Bulldog and a couple of games which include running around a lot because we could "hurt ourselves and the younger pupils"..Our entire class went on strike.

I remember when my old junior school did this. They went even further: no physical contact of any kind.

Seriously, we weren't even allowed to touch another kid, not even in a non-violent way. It was fucking retarded, as is this.

All games kids play are dangerous. We all grew up with dangerous stuff like this, and most of us survived! It's just stupid paranoia and ultimate over-protectiveness and it's totally pathetic. I maintain that kids need to hurt themselves in stupid ways to learn.

Hell, I once broke my arm after jumping off a garage onto hard ground. You know what I did? I didn't complain about what I did, I learnt that maybe I shouldn't fucking do that again. People nowadays give kids way too little credit. They're smarter than you think, they're not just brainless robots dumbly charging around running into things.

Try giving your kids some credit and teaching them safety and reminding them when they get it wrong and hurt themselves, rather than just banning fun for their own good.
