that said language is out of controll, in aus swereing in public is illegal but nobody is ever charger, damn "free speach" rubbish
What's creepy about it? It's general consensus that children are cute, up into pretty high ages. While parents are most vocal about it, every adult is expected to think so. It's just if it's more than finding them cute that something is wrong, and then all of a sudden they're a group of horribly repulsive angels. Cute, horribly repulise angels mind.

I have personally never understood why, they're filthy, dirty, unsophisticated, underdeveloped and downright creepy. On top of that they demand attention. But then, general consensus rarely agrees with me.

Swearing in Australia is illegal? Or are you talking about Austria because Australia would be deserted if it was illegal for us to swear.

You mean these types of kids? [link]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ef-QOCgMzAQ&feature=related[/link] hate 'em but if I just walk past and just 'happen' to sort of nudge the little blighters abit they tend to get the message.

Sure they may seem like they are just words but if his parents don't teach him that it's bad, he will grow up thinking he can get away with other bad things. Well thats abit extreme but lets not take any chances!
See, there's 2 different problems here: The kid was swearing and the kid was being disrespectful. Swearing does not necessarily mean you're being disrespectful, and being disrespectful doesn't necessarily mean you're swearing.

Now, is swearing bad? No. When idiots like that kid do nothing BUT swear, it just makes them look... Like the idiot kids they are really. The only reason "swearing" is given any importance at all is because some of us get all uppity at the "f-word", which is a pretentious and ridiculous expression to imply the word fuck... I fucking DESPISE that expression... The [letter]-word... It shows a higher level of ignorance and pretentiousness than the kid who just says "fuck!".

On the other hand, he was being a disrespectful little douchebag for no good reason than to act like a disrespectful little douchebag, which is bad, and deserved a swift punch in the jaw.

The thing is, they're different problems entirely.

Hi there Mr. Troll.

I do find it hilarious that you misconstrued my reply, and proceeded to try to add a little jab of your own. Ironically you appealed to irony, which in itself is...well, ironic really.

I loled.

Coming from the ghetto's of Manchester you notice that the slummier the neighbourhood, the more vocal the youngsters. Typically speaking the kids have no role models in there parents and with the whole 'nature/nurture' thing they just end up immitating their folks poor language.

I dont see the problem with children knowing obsenities. Infact I'm quite foul fuckin mouthed myself. However that said, I know how to control my usage of these words where as children need to be discaplined into remembering. But as a kid, whats more fun than shocking someone with a new word...you knobjockey

Going to a public school will make you learn those words at about ten. I remember doing the same thing.
I really don't think it matters if it's a private or public school. Kids will learn those words regardless.

Unfortunately, I've seen the same kids in my neighborhoods as well. Maybe it is a cry for attention considering how everyone is so anal about the word "fuck". I don't have any problem with swearing really, as I think it's the interpretation of the word from the listener that makes it offensive, not the offenders choice of vocal noises (Yell at a dog in a hateful sounding voice saying, "I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH!" is an example of calm words being misinterpreted with a different message).

However, and it doesn't matter what age or how much they are riddled with ADD (Before bashing, I'm diagnosed too and find it no excuse really), they should learn proper manners in any society. I understand that this is a job for the parent really and I applaud the idea of telling the parents what their kids said and watching the sweet irony of punishment fall on them, but I just look at the media and other "influences" on the child (school, friends, family), and really, it's just a matter of accepting it grudgingly. I just chalk it up as one more reason for me to not have kids.

I don't go out during mid-morning or early afternoon, so I generally don't hear wee little tykes with language so coarse it'd peel the bark off of trees. Only thing I ever hear are whiners and screamers...

Off topic Honestly though, how do people expect a baby or toddler to act when they're out in town around 10-11 at night? Hell, when I'm that tired, screaming/crying seems like a sane reaction.

Hah, you should go to London, absolutely stuffed to the guts with them. I was playing with a friend a long time ago, and this kid ran at me with a broom, he thwacked me pretty hard in the middle of my hand. For no reason that I can remember.

Lil' bastard...

I swear a lot, but unless someone is being an asshole/ess I never bother directing it at someone specifically. And I hate all these "abuse" rules, I don't see a problem with a smack to the bottom/wrist or a boot to the arse, though for some reason some people are just stupid and stick with that time out crap. I've never met a kid who was well behaved whos parents used that type of disciplining. But what can you do, telling the parents usually just makes them go off at you, spouting all the "How dare you" type crap, some of these parents need to be recieving the type of behavior training their child should be recieving.

And i've seen what threatening these kids does, most parents won't accept "It's a joke and he swore at me". I ain't gettin the shit kicked out of me for some little punk brat.

I was on the way to my nans once, when this little kid of about two years old was trying to cross the road in this plastic car thing. His mum was yelling at him to come back and the responce from this two year olds mouth was "f*** off". I just shook my head and walked on.

Pick up as big a rock as ya can find and throw it at the little fucker. If its parents complain, tell them to discipline their brat and to stop fucking up society. Better yet, throw rocks at the parents and tell them to learn how to do their job. I'm sick of my tax dollars being directed towards programs for these little fucks. It's not my place to raise anyone elses' kids.

Can we try to avoid the violence to children? If I threw a rock at anyone I could be sued and I don't want to kill anyone! There is always a clever way to do things however alot of people here just prefer to get revenge.

Also no one should be swearing like this, if I see people who swear in every sentence they make in public, I just gather that they are punks who don't care for the people around them.

Where did I swear? I have several choice phrases that I use when confronted by little punks, but I see nowhere in my post that I swore. Things may be different in the US, but down here in australia where software/movie pirates get more jail time that murders, pedophiles and rapists combined, I see no issues with throwing stones at poorly behaved children/parents of such.

I know a lot of kids like this. Of course, since I'm only 14(and have no conscience to speak of) its a lot easier to walk up to one, kick em in the bollocks and get away with it. I can be quite intimidating when I want to be so most of them leave me alone after a while.
