Aw, you don't like Winnie the Pooh?
Geez, Isn't 3 people to a party enough?
Doesn't the keyblade look *enough* like a key?

WHere do keyblades come from? Where do they go when not in use? How are keyblade wielders chosen, when and by who?

In one of the trailers for BBS, it does seem to lead to a clue about a possible KH3, at least, what all this has to do with everything..

How did Namine discover she had the power to rearrange memories? Can she use a keyblade too? Why didn't she just make Marluxia forget she had this power? How far do her powers extend?

In KH 2 Final Mix, Riku and Axel helped to stash Namine from DiZ and Org 13.

How can Nobodies and Others exist at the same time? A Nobody is supposed to be a Heartless body, then what is Sora walking around in? How did Roxas end up in Twilight Town? Are there Nobodies that don't work for Org 13? How is it that Roxas, Namine, Axel, Xion, heck a good portion of Org 13 demonstrate emotions of one kind or another?

In Ultimania, when asked about Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Nomura answered:

"Birth by Sleep will be a very important game that collects everything about the series into one story. With the three main characters, the story is as big as one of the numbered Final Fantasies. We put in a lot of connections to it in 358/2 Days, and I think that a lot of questions and unknowns from the previous game will be answered in Birth by Sleep. Also, there will be quite a few original characters from previous making an appearance. This game is set the farthest in the past of any other, so it connects to Kingdom Hearts, but the main characters are three that haven?t appeared in the other games. So how their story will end, which will of course be shown in the game, will leave you wondering even more after the game has finished."

i thought the story was very deep and the combat system better. But the idea of Spira, Gaia, Midgard, Lindlumb etc sounds amazing. i wonder why it hasnt been done
It has. It's called Final Fantasy.
In Kingdom Hearts obviously...
But there are already whole games based specifically around those worlds and exploring them...
KH wouldn't really be able to do anything with them that hasn't been done already.
Good point actually never thought of that. Makes a lot of sense.
Yeah, but that's KH's thing as a series. I love it as much as the next guy, DGMW, but its appeal is in nostalgia, for FF and for Disney movies. I think they could pull it off, personally :D
It's not nostalgia if they're just putting in modern and most popular FF characters.
Call it what you will. I'm more there for the Disney characters, anyway, but certainly Square Enix could take the worlds of their own franchise in new directions for the sake of the storyline in a way they probably couldn't with Disney worlds. I think this would be acceptable, yes?
Don't use words you don't know the meaning of.
That's your rebuttal? A jab at my use of vocabulary? No actual acknowledgement of the argument at hand? Gaw-lee.

FFVII is over ten years old. This seems pretty much like nostalgia to me, especially for young gamers. Anything much older would be quite difficult to pull off without incurring gamer wrath, anyway, as they'd be translating a beloved character from 2-D media to 3-D media.

Besides, the most popular characters are naturally the first ones the developers will turn to. When experiencing nostalgia in music, people usually go for bands like the Beatles and such to be their preference. But there were thousands of bands in the dawning ages of rock, and some of them were sure to have been amazing and insightful. But still almost everyone who calls themslves a retro-rock fan identifies the Beatles or any of probably less than a dozen bands as their favorites...

Not everyone, of course, mind you, but Square Enix is hardly catering to a secluded market.
Actually it was more a plea to stop using words you clearly don't understand.
It's not nostalgia because FFVII is still a very popular and current thing having releases on the playstation network and the movie sequel, which the character designs in KH2 are based off of. If it was nostalgia the characters would turn to lesser known characters from the OLDER games that aren't freakishly popular and well known. It's like using the optimus prime from the michael bay movies and saying it's nostalgic just because it's optimus prime.

And honestly you're just looking to argue pointlessly, there was no argument there. You said they could twist and turn their own worlds and fuck it up to fit Kingdom Hearts. They could. But why would they? If someone wanted to play Final Fantasy and enjoy those worlds they would, if Square wanted to remake the worlds in 3D they would. It'd serve no point to make a shoddy scaled down game for Kingdom Hearts just to appease the weeaboo fans.
Well, you definitely have a point there with your Optimus Prime argument. But consider that the only thing that would have allowed Transformers to be made in the first place are misty thoughts of an old 80's TV show...

Hey, I'm not really looking for a fight here. All I want to point out is that I feel they could make a good showing of a stronger Final Fantasy presence in Kingdom Hearts, regardless of the existence of games featuring those same worlds and characters. After all, mechanics-wise, the two franchies are very different. It might be a fresher look at the series.

I think if it's going to have Disney characters in it, then it shouldn't snub the whole Disney aspect like in KH2. They just sort of through the worlds in because they had to. In the first game, the worlds were corrupted by heartless and the stories themselves were corrupted accordingly, in KH2 they just had us play through the movies. "Wait, we already beat this guy in Mulan..."
Instead of making the Disney universes their own, they just had us played the plot of the movies and had the KH story outside of them. KH3 needs to be more like KH1. Also, what's the deal with KH3? We got this little clip a few years ago but nothing came of it.
That little clip you speak of is aparrently a fake.
That clip was for Birth By Sleep
I have never seen a disney movie so i get to enjoy the games without knowing anything, no complaints from me.

i would like more Final Fantasy stuff but not to much . Maybe another world with them in it( i know they were scattered but i want another like Radiant Gardens the same game.)

I want to know more about Naminé , she is a mystery.

i also want to know if Kairi actually has a Keyblade or not. That seen was the only time we see her with it and the story never gives us a clue of weather or not she gets to keep it.
Namine was kairi's nobody it was explained in game I think.
only kairi never turned into a hartless so she never got a nobody meaning ...PLOT HOLE
and no in KH1 she wasn't a hartless either her heart was inside sora the whole game not in a heartless or whatever...lol
I suggest you replay the games.
i played it enough times tyvm o.o unless they explain this magic PLOT HOLE in one of the hand held tie-ins. which is annoying in on itself i play the main games but i get left out of the story because iam not buying the mini games =/
Hint hint: It's not a plothole just because you're too dense to see the explanation in the games, especially after it's been explained in this topic.
too dense? dont make me laugh , either one of the 2 Main games give a decent explanation to how Namine was born -_- . saying shes a "special kind of nobody" is a bogus statement
without playing chain of memories you dont know about 1 3rd of the complete Kh2 story ...
quit trying to sound like your the most knowledgeable person here . i read the so called explanation in the thread sure its An explanation but without knowing that beforehand you wouldn't know that by just playing the game.

I just want a third Kingdom Hearts game to be quite honest. Everything KHII was again.

However if the story continues to make no sense then I shall be pissed. I didn't play Chain of Memories, you should not be punishing me for it!

That and Stop With The Forced Tutorials They Suck.

But they don't need a stronger presence, they already overshadow the disney in the series.
I think the Disney thing might be being a little short-changed here not just by the FF aspect, but by the entire game. Originally Disney was the big plug and FF characters were just tossed in for quick *wink* *nudge* cameos...now it feels like KH is going off on its own thing and only occasionally remembering it's supposed to be a Disney-themed game and feeding the fans a few gratis references. Probably a matter of opinion, that...

But really it's the Kingdom Hearts storyline I'm worrying for. Don't want to get it too far from its almost fanfiction-esque roots; I felt that was the real charm of it :D

Winnie the pooh was good in the first one to be honest. but in the second one it just seemed really pointless, especially seeing that the story line was...he lost his memory. I would prefer all new worlds really

WINNIE THE POOH IS ESSENTIAL TO THE VERY GAME YOU CRIMINAL!
*ahem* anyways the one thing I would change is much more worlds to explore and make it more platform based again and not combat like KH2(even though it WAS good, just not as good a KH1)

And I would want the gummi ship to be used in the worlds XD

there seems to be a bit of a debate about the final fantasy characters. Personally i didn't think they're were enough in it. Auroun turning up was pointless but having hollow bastion to keep them all together was a great idea.
Also bosses like Kefka and Jecht would be a great addition to the game.
Kefka would be the greatest heartless ever due to being insane and wathing Jecht struggle to decide his alignment would be a great addition, especially if he was Maleficent's right hand man or something.

I'm thinking they should probably add fun to the gameplay and some kind of entertainment to the story. They seemed to forget about those with all the other Kingdom Hearts games.

Namine isnt so much a mystery,
Kairi is one of the 7 princesses, meaning she has no darkness in her. when sora's/kairi's/riku's island was destroyed, she was sorta enveloped by the darkness or whatever, which would turn a normal person into a heartless, but being that Kairi has no darkness in her heart, her heart was instead just caught in Sora's body during that whole 'islandbeingdestroyed' event. she Did however create a Nobody, named 'Namine'.
I know all of that but her motives were not always clear.

I also wan to know how she met Diz (i know his real name)

No she's not. She's a special kind of Nobody that was made when Kairi's heart went into Sora in the first game. That's all there is to it. Why do you think they didn't really do a whole lot with her in the second game? They covered it all in Chain of Memories.
Now Im considering playing that terrible game.

i just wish they would explain the story a little more i mean unless you played from KH1 you arn't going to understand anything
