After reading the post I thought "yeah that's kinda messed up," but when I first read the post title I thought "meh." Escapist forum types probably won't like this but when I was younger and my family still lived on a farm my grandmother was "Death, Destroyer of Cats." Many a times Grandma would round up a couple gross old barn cats and they'd never be seen or heard from again. I also know more than a couple litters of nasty kittens ended up in a burlap sack with a rock and got chucked in the river (downstream of where we went swimming of course). That's what I thought of when I read the title. Oh Grandma.

I won't say anything harsh because she is your family, and I do not desire to start a fight, but that is fucked up.

What a horrible post. No, you wouldn't kill her, and no, some old woman who puts a cat in a bin is not going to turn into a mass murderer. I know you're probably just a kid, but tone down the internet-tough-guy routine; it doesn't make you look cool.

Anyway, I can't stand animal cruelty, and I'm glad this woman isn't going to live this down. It must suck knowing that, in the future, all you'll be remembered for by the vast majority of the world is abusing a cat.
