Boy, that'll get your ass hung in Britain. I do love the gunife though. That would be useful, now I don't have to decide weather I feel shooty of stabby.
What, owning a ps3?

And lol, it's kickass - there's another like gunsword (a real one) I saw in a museum in Venice. Lemme go find something similar........

Here it is!

Oh my, sorry I didn't even realise this was the same thread as me and PayJ before. Apologies, I'll stop now.

EDIT: And I double posted your thread. I am sorry.

I agree. Have you been on BudK.com recently? They have red and black painted Stainless Steel blades in the shape of fire, with a cutout in the middle.

I suppose the point of those kinds of blades are purely for display. That's why I like to go to Knifecenter, because they actually tell me the type of steel the knives are made out of.
Pretty depressing. I don't shop online, I shop at a local store. I mostly stick with brands I know and I do my homework before buying.

A trench knife. An 8-inch long blade and brass knuckles? Fuck yeah.

But a balisong (known as a butterfly knife) would work too:

I like swords more than knifes but only because of the general length advantage.

Just my knife kit for work.
Nothing really special or particularly badass about chef's knives.

My Boss has a paring knife that has half of its edge coated in DIAMOND. Its amazing. That and in the 6 years she's had it, it (so she says) has never needed sharpening.

For my money, Crusader Forge (formally Trident Knives) makes some pretty awesome custom tactical knives. If your life truly depends on the knife you carry, I recommend checking them out.

http://www.crusaderforge.com/

Strider ( http://www.striderknives.com/site/ ), and Emerson ( http://www.emersonknives.com/ ) make some bomb proof knifes as well. For daily use I have an Emerson CQB-7 that I always keep in my pocket.

I have a couple of (illegal...._> ...) cheap Chinese butterfly knives. Love to screw around with 'em, although I have a nice carving knife too. Would someday like to get a proper butterfly knife that doesn't slowly unscrew itself whilst you are flicking it around. First time I let my friend have a go on one, he dropped it point first, through the body of my acoustic guitar.

Dude, trench spikes kick ass. I also just got my Navy Seals survival knife in the mail, which basically looks like this

I received my Rambo style survival knife yesterday. I was so happy until I saw that word printed on the blade. Stainless. May god curse that metal for all eternity.

buncha various pocket knives that usually stay at home, but then there's Klaus, my trench knife. Somehow I found a holster that fits it, so I keep it on me. I'd post a pic, but i suck at links and stuff, and then I'd have to take a picture....

I do both. Sometimes at the same time, though not with the same person at the same time. That would be weird.

Not as weird as you think.
It's quite entertaining, actually.

My dad gave me this knife which he used in the army(or at least a similar looking one). I've asked him a few times if he'd ever used it in the army, he doesn't want to answer that question so I'd like to imagine that it's been inside a few people...

I just got my 10.5 inch Smith and Wesson Search and Rescue combat knife in the mail. It. Is. Glorious. Knife questions and discussion here. Do you have knives? Do you carry them? Do you prefer folding or fixed blade? You know the rules. I want a clean thread. Now let's get it on!
Well I prefer different knives for different occasions, but my personal favourite is this:

The Busse Bushwhacker Mistress. 10 & 1/2 inches of Rambo-flavored awesome.

That's not a knife.

Cookies for reference.

On topic: I don't, nor do I intend to, carry a knife. I just don't feel the need for it. Besides, if I need something for self defence, I suppose I could use my keys.
CROCODILE DUNDEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, but that just screamed out OBVIOUS!
Although, if you're not Australian, then I'm screwed.

But on topic, no, I don't own a knife and will not need to.
Hopefully.

I have a dagger I named Sheila (yes, I'm a dork). As for blades, I'm not too picky, as long as they're of good quality.

I have a few knives, just regular ones that are all around 3 inches long, though I do have a few that are around 5 inches that use sheaths, one about 7 inches, and a three inch switchblade.
