I just got my 10.5 inch Smith and Wesson Search and Rescue combat knife in the mail. It. Is. Glorious. Knife questions and discussion here. Do you have knives? Do you carry them? Do you prefer folding or fixed blade? You know the rules. I want a clean thread. Now let's get it on!

I love knives, just a shame you can't use them to their full potential at times. Very agile weapons ^^ Personally I'd prefer a fixed blade, but I only have folding ones.

I have a Grohmann fixed blade hunting knife I got as a present from my parents before going camping once, they said it was for self defense in case I was jumped by a mountain lion, and they were completely serious (or at least said it with a straight face). It's good for whittling.

I have a swiss army knife and a small pocket knive for larger jobs. I carry the swiss army knife about, but if I carried the other one about I'd be put in jail. The thing's only 3 inches long, and I'd be arrested for having it outside. WTF?! They'd probably get me for my Swiss army knife as well (even though it's legal) as the police are like that.

I've seen a swiss army knife that had over 100 appliacations for it. It was longer than the blade of the knife itself!

I also want a Bowie Knife!

That's not a knife.

On topic: I don't, nor do I intend to, carry a knife. I just don't feel the need for it. Besides, if I need something for self defence, I suppose I could use my keys.

I have a small knife in my room which I was given when I was born. a small 3in long 3/4in tall blade fixed with a wooden handle with my name ingrave in it. It also has a very pretty patern in metal at the hilt and just brfore the blade starts. The blade itself is very blunt but the point is super duper sharp, could easily pierce something >.>

I have a gerber double edged 7 inch which is slightly over the limit where i live. It's a pigsticker and a good one at that. I wear it on my boot and use if for just about everything. It fits perfectly on my work boot so i keep it there so it"s not in the way.

I also have 3 or 4 good folding pocket knieves for random stuff although i prefer a saw blade at the mid section on pocket knife's
