The original 4 Survivors. I've grown to love Bill, Louis and Zoey! ... and Francis (he likes vests).

A map editor.
Yes on the original 4 Survivors "4" sure. Also L4D has a map editor. Look under tools in Steam and it should be right there.
Well colour me pink and call me Sally... so it does...

A story would be nice but not needed, or how about the ability to throw things other than explosives. Trash cans, chairs, lamps, and other random stuff. Or how about being able to drive, or fly to different places. Rescue missions, more people,(i got a ton of these) being able to carry more than two guns, flamethrower, swords, axe, being able to fight the zombies (like ufc stlye, striaght beatdown), in general make it kinda like RE5 and Gears meashed together, chainsaw guns(Gears stlye), ninja level(try to bypass zombies without being detected), shots of adrenaline(temporary being super human), charactor design(seems standard), being able to tell cpu what to do, playn as a zombie, multiplayer maps, can play as human or zombie in different games(guardian, capture the flag, teams things like that)

All seems resonable.

Also as an added feature : better "campaigns": Say you have to get from one town...to another on the coast, and you only got so many days. Now you can just travel over the countryside (which would be easier, less zombies, less hiding places...but then again no safehouses), but sooner or later you will have to restock your supplies, since you wont find many outside of cities (could be guns, first aid, maybe even food and water). You could even make it like TF2: you can load (a limited amount of) supplies into a shopping cart, and then push it around. Maybe the one who was pushing the cart could not even fight (could restrict that to highest difficulties maybe). You could force the players to abandon the cart when they meet an obstacle to add suspense (like a tunnel full of cars, we had that sometimes, no way you're pushing a cart over that.
Once again, I loved L4D, but i hated Valve for the lacking content.

Someone's been playing the Last Stand 2 with a hint of Deadrising. Your idea sounds good in theroy but the only flaw is that it is a bit.... diffcult to put into play. No one wants to push the cart since they will be completly defenseless. What makes left 4 dead is fun becuase of the pure simplicty in it's design and gameplay. Also they added the two other levels into vs mode. It only took so long becuase they had to change the level structure a bit. To many closets and corners.

Bears that know martial arts , or giant donnie darko headed bunnies.

Seriously fully destructable enviroments , and a BIG patch on the sadistic director, who gets off on making things as tough as possible for the player

The original cast, I dont like the new guys. I'd like that stupid country music for the horde rushes removed since it was just the dumbest thing I've heard.

I second that, or at LEAST a discount for those who have it. It's insane that they put a second game out so soon while not doing anything they promised for the first one.

Excuse me? They put out free DLC, which for most people meant at least 20 hours of gameplay, if not more.

All the boycotters have yet to show me one citation of Valve making a promise about L4D which they haven't yet done good on.

EDIT: ah, my hypocrisy shines through. I double posted right after telling someone off for double posting.

An option were you can turn the zombies into aliens or machines. Then you can also replay alien invation and rise of the machines movies.

Plus, I was a zombies only mode and the survivors are AI driven. I find it irrataiting how people will come into a versus game then leave because they're not the zombies. There needs to be an option for these people.

Also, Flame thrower. I havn't seen a flame thrower yet...what the hell?

I would add the Witch as a playable character in the VS Mode.
I don't understand how this would work. Would you just sit around until the survivors showed up? If so, that sounds like it would get boring fast.
It could work, but wouldn't be fun. You're sitting there in third person, but EVERYTHING is blacked out except for the area directly around you. If you get shot, you can see everything, if they put you into "angry" mode, your circle of sight widens considerably, and they have a brief time to switch off lights and hide before you're able to get a bead on their location.

Since you walk around, it could be interesting as a game of chance, wandering around the map with vague outlines of the area, only briefly being aware of exactly where the survivors are. It COULD work, but would be fairly dull.

flame thrower and instead of when u die u character is just dead it turns into a zombie but thats only if u cant come back again like if u die at the end of the level where ur friends can no longer bring u back in the game
