No, good sir, that would be your new avatar.
I am glad at how well it came out. It's slow, but that's sort of the point.
The freeze bit where the MM pops up reminds me of a kind of superhero introduction.

I think the developers are targetting Sims 3 players (Best Selling Game ever, with millions of copies sold...). Gamplay would be like Sims 3...you go to school, earn vampire points to gain abilities (muscled torso, sparkling white teeth, sparkly chest...) and you go out and date the other girls (or vice versa if you're a girl char).
I think you're missing out on some crossover appeal, there. I'm sure there's a market for a game where you play a lesbian vampire that goes around seducing women.

Now I'm thinking of a Twilight tentacle rape game.

"Bella, what happened?"

"I was raped!"

"By what!!??! I'll-I'll kill them!"

Bella stares at Edward with haunted eyes, revealing the inner pain she feels at this moment in time, which was far different from her usual pain. The one she feels every day. It's called "Angst".

"By.... A tentacle monster."

xD

I always assumed that there was no Twilight game because the industry was worried that IC might finally start trying people for crimes against humanity over this franchise...

If they do make it, it will come out on the Xbox with this achievement:

Twihate:

Kill yourself 1,000 times over the course of the game.

A Twilight Game!?!?!
It will be like a Heavy Rain experience....All quick time!
Stage 1: rapidly mash X to display Bella's anguish and make her cry.
Stage 2: Hold R1 to make Edward not lose his lunch every time he sees Bella then rotate the right analog stick to refrain from walking out of the shade and becoming sparkly!
Stage 3: Hold down L2 and have inner monologue about Edward's family
Stage 4: Rapidly mash X to display more anguish and cry even harder!
Stage 5: Play "guess which button you have to hit next" To have a social life while trying not to cry.
Stage 6: Sit back and watch Bella cry.
Stage 7: Alternate between L1 and R1 to run away from another vampire
Stage 8: Hold every button on the controller with one hand to not the crap kicked outta you.
Stage 9: Cry some more.
Stage 10: Talk to dad, and cry some more.....
Is anybody else seeing a disastrous pattern here!?

Ya know, there's a saying.
Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should.
You CAN make a Twilight game, but that definitely doesn't mean you should fuckin do it.

It would be a motion comic. You'd stare at Rob Pattinson's foot-like face and occasionally text would pop up reading "he's pretty". It would make millions, and probably become so rare from over-purchasing that copies would go for $700, and hundreds of thousands would be made every day, but it just wouldn't be enough! And it would continue for several console generations to come, and then.... and then.....

This is total BS. Twilight the book would be the game I just described, Twilight the movie would be too[I hate to say it] hardcore for the target audience. A game with fighting?!! EEK! As much as I love game economists, they can be batshit crazy sometimes.

The lack of a Twilight game may be costing the industry millions of dollars, but it's saving a ton of it's integrity.

Now comes the question. If you can make money from an idea, does that mean it is the right thing to do so?

On a slightly related matter next month there is a "Twilight day" at the cinema where I work. All employees are encouraged (read: forced) to get into the spirit of the event by dressing up, or participating in the fun and games. Therefore I shall go into work wearing...

Let's make this shit happen and fill our pools with gold! GOLD!
Why would you fill a pool with molten gold? That really wouldn't be fun to swim in...

(And before you say it isn't molten, that wouldn't be fun either)

If they release a Twilight game, I swear I will do my best to rid the world of them, scratch the ones at work so they don't play, hide boxes at other game places so no one can find them, and tell people who love the game that it take their favorite character and destroys everything they loved about them

The game world has Sonic, we don't need another person producing shit games, especially not emo vampires, I'll take the blue rat over the sparkling fag anyday

Maybe EA Sports can make vampire baseball and be done with it.
Maybe EA Sports should put Fifa '02 back on the shelves.

The only good EA Sports game... man, I loved that one.

Lack of Twilight Game Has Cost Industry Millions

A financial analyst said that videogame publishers are missing out on a potential windfall from Twilight fans.

We get it. People dig vampires, especially the cute emo ones found in Twilight. The books have been out since 2005 and the first movie was a box office success. And now with four books and two films under the franchise's belt, with another to drop this holiday season, Games Investor Consulting analyst Nick Gibson has reason to wonder why the videogame industry has dropped the ball. He thinks that a Twilight game would make at least seven figures, especially if it focused on the 20-30 year old female demographic.

"Given how hot a property it is, Twilight could easily present a seven-figure exploitation opportunity, especially if publishers look at taking it beyond retail gaming and considers network gaming," Gibson said.

He goes on to posit that the owners of the digital rights might not know that they are sitting on a potential goldmine. "It may well be that the rights holders aren't aware of the potential benefits as they haven't explored the games market before. It's not unheard of - although it is increasingly unusual in this day and age."

Realizing that there may be a backlash amongst more serious videogame fans, Gibson thinks a Twilight game would do well to appeal to female gamers:

Given the demographic Twilight appeals to, there probably isn't a huge crossover between them and Xbox 360 or PS3 fans. The brand's appeal could actually extend significantly beyond the expected teen girl market and into the 20- to 30-year-old female market, which has a very substantial crossover into gaming. There's a greater resonance with Wii and DS users.

Despite rumors of a Twilight [http://www.massively.com/2009/07/28/theres-a-er-twilight-mmo-coming/] MMOG in the works, the only game to bear the movie license is a version of Scene It.

I can't tell if that's a good or a bad thing.

Oh dear god no.

If this happens, then any horror game made after it that includes werewolves or vampires will be shredded by twilight fans, [a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.181969-Lack-of-Twilight-Game-Has-Cost-Industry-Millions#comment_form"] just like the Wolfman movie [/a]. The twilight series may be popular, but this cross media jumping will ruin both it's story and any other horror games with even remotely same species.
