Wutevs, just make a facebook game so the casuals can play, no need to make a console game for it.

Well some [weird] people did enjoy the movie, so I guess they would target the same market for the game.
This is true although I still can't see a game working to be honest.

Reason enough for me...they dont need a game for it. Seeriously, they have enough to scream over as it is
Indeed, a game would just kill it (even more than it by rights should be).

make one, then after it's sold millions, make several sequels, this would allow a lot of other good games be made thanks to twilight

The problem with this idea: on paper, it looks awesome. "Look at these demographics! They look the same, so it should be easy to cross the medium boundary! Think of the revenues!"
This shows no insight as to how the demographics came to be. Just because more women love Twilight and more women have Wiis than 360s, I can't imagine they came to those places for the same reasons.

More specifically, what would a cross between Twilight and gaming, and how would it appeal to the (statistically same) demographic? Despite the numbers being the same, this is not an easy problem. Welcome to upper management ignorance.

Do what the Japanese do to occupy their 20-30 year old men. Make a dating sim for the DS. Then with the profits, build giant enclosure to lock away all the Twihards from the rest of society.

I'm kinda interested in this. Not that I'm a fan of Twilight but the fact is: look how much cash can be cashed-in from thousands or hundreds of thousands of girl's and women in desperation. But I doubt anything good in quality-wise would be created but im sure people would buy it just for the spectacle.

No sarcasm intended

Because whatever company makes "Twilight: The Movie: The Game" is now branded as "that twilight studio" and has an enormous stigma. Really, making a twilight game if you plan on keeping all "street cred" as it were, is impossible. This "financial analyst" surely can see the short term, but he or she doesn't understand gamer mentality.

Actually, I've been waiting for a Twilight game... ô.o
I was sure there would be one.

Nevertheless, I hate Twilight, especially its popularity. But hey, no flame war intended.

This is probably absolutely true. Sure, it would be arse, but given the popularity of the franchise, it would be very lucrative indeed.

Personally I say make the game and see what happens. More female gamers can only be a good thing, and the studio that made the game would be minted afterwards. They could funnel some of that excess cash into a really good game. Like a sequel to Dungeon Keeper 2.

Sure, Twilight might make a terrible game but nobody is going to hold you down and force you to play it. I mean, unless you've angered the mafia recently and they want to find a creative way to torture you.
