Ithkuil, one of the most complex constructed languages known to humans, it has no known speakers and can express incredibly dense concepts in mere syllables.

There are three major languages I would like to learn, however, I am very bad at picking up languages.

Chinese - for obvious economic/political reasons
Hindi - for exactly the same reason as above
Spanish - because it's so wide spread.

I think I can expand my wish for knowing multiple languages.

Esperanto is not metioned alot, but it somehow attracts to me.
Maybe some Latin, just to sound very wise.

While Japanese, German and Spanish is mentioned alot, I don't really wish to speak them. I know German already but Japanese and Spanish are just a no-go for me.

Also, I noticed only a handfull of people actually want to learn Dutch. Why so little? It's got some heavy consonants, thereby sounding quite harsh :p

Russian, for no real reason other than I think it's a neat sounding language. It would be fairly useless for me though so I'll probably never go to the trouble to learn. I also would like to learn sign language. I already know some because of my uncle (partially deaf) but I'm just barely conversational and wouldn't want to talk with anyone other than him out of embarrassment. I should probably brush up on my Spanish too since that's a helpful one to know and I haven't used it in awhile.

Swedish.

I'll learn it eventually...
Varför svenska? ^^

OT: I've studied five years of French, but I am far from fluent. When I have the time I'll brush up my skills and go to France.
I'm working on the Japanese, right now I'm on my second year. After that, I'd love to learn Hindi, Persian, Korean and Mandarin. At the very least I'd love to understand them.

I'd like to speak French or some other 'romantic' language, because then, I could swear at the teachers at school while sounding nice! :p

And what about you guys?
For me, there's... Four languages I would like to be fluent in.

Russian
Mandarin Chinese
Latin (becuase if you can understand latin, you can at least understand SOME of most latin based languages)
Gaelic (Irish)

I speak fluent Portuguese (native) and English, and can also understand and communicate in Spanish, despite never having any lessons because it uses the same basis as Portuguese and most of the words sound similar. At the moment I'm learning Japanese (6 months in), and hope to learn Swedish when I'm done with it. Would also love to learn German, Suomi and Mandarin, but don't think I'll ever be arsed with those.

Also awesome how I ordered Yakuza 3 off Japan like 2 days before it was "semi-confirmed" that it was being translated for Europe/USA. Oh well, at least I'm getting it for half the price.

English. Or, more accurately, accentless English.

I consider my English to be pretty good considering it's not my native language, but my (Dutch) accent is absolutely horrible. Luckily accents don't apply to written language. :p

I already speak plenty of languages, and have no real desire to learn more of them. I just wish that I was better at the ones I already know.

Also, lol at the animu kids wanting to learn Japanese.

Latin, otherwise known as the language of awesome.
It would also make it a teensy bit easier to study many of the Western European languages since many of them derive from latin, so there's that too.
