I'd have to say it was in this one game called red faction where i got in this supser mech (not the one you have to steal) And start wrecking EVERYTHING than they get mad and their cars start crashing into me and the planes crash into eachother and the infantry were getting ran over. there were hundreds!

I want to say saints row 2 when I blasted 1 pimp near a strip club and more and more pimps kept coming so I tried to take them out with just my fists but eventually they pissed me off and I took out Ye Olde' Tombstone and took them OUT. But really the most I've ever faced at once must have been in Dynasty Warrior I counted how manyt there were for awhile but I soon stopped.

The army near the end of Heavenly Sword would number way over a thousand. Too bad they're very easy... Only an artificial time limit makes the fight any challenge.

Left 4 Dead always has me fighting what seems like hundreds of zombies, though in retrospect it was probably more like 40.

Mine must be the massive horde of Grims that hatch in the streets of Chicago, in Resistance 2. They're pretty useless when their numbers are few, but when they number in the hundreds... wow.
75 enemies. In any of the dynasty warrior games.

Fallout three, Thought I could run from two normal and one giant Radscorpion. Ran into a group of raiders who were fighting with two super mutants, the best fucking fight ever.

Well, I wound up with over 1000 kills on a certain map in Samurai Warriors 2, but I think the most people I've ever faced at one time in that game is probably closer to 300 or so.

8027 enemy troops in various capacities in a Rome: Total War online FFA battle.

It was intense.

1000 heartless in Kingd-

oh, wow, stupid ninjas...

But yeah, that was amazing.

Another would be Command and Conquer Red Alert 2, my friends and I were having a LAN party, 4 people, and we chose a map covered in rescources. We built up our armies until the map was barren, then sent everyone into the middle.

Best. Battle. Ever.

I used to play World Of Warcraft, the largest number was that part in Blackrock Spire with all the hatch-lings.

In real life though I went to a movie theater where just about everyone I hated and vice-versa was there, about 20+

Near the end of Ninja Gaiden II, you are attacked by a mighty horde of enemy ninja while traversing a set of epic stairs.

I couldn't even count how many ran at me...but they met their fate at the end of my scythe.

I have no idea. The Burly Brawl in Path of Neo has you fighting something like 100-500 Smiths at once. And then there are games like Devil Kings.

Well, it depends. Is it just in like one encounter with them all focusing on you at one time or just an on-going battle (Wave 50 horde in Gears of War 2 being an example of that.) In a single encounter I remember taking on around 9 enemies on my Enhanc Shaman (Very OP in PvE) or in Horde where I was the last one left and a bunch of Locusts never stopped entering the building (who I dealt with quite nicely if I do say so myself.)

If an on-going encounter, I return to my example - Gears of War 2, Wave 50 in Horde. Or the giant stream of Flood in the final mission of Halo 3. Then again that could be a single encounter in the first gun-fight where there's about 25 flood waiting, and more come while you're fighting. That's bigger than my first two.
