Last PC Game worth actually buying?

When's the last time a PC game came out that was actually worth buying, and what was it called? I ask because I'm looking for a worth buying game that I may have missed, and already plan to nab a few.

I'd prefer games that have a decent replay value and I'm a fan of older games like Arcanum of Steamworks and Magic, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, and Black and White (yeah I know, not the same types of games). I also really appreciated Deus Ex and I love the Hitman series. I'm not really looking for the sort of game that people just play through once and shelf for eternity.

I've already played Fallout 3, Fable 2, Demigod, Dawn of War 2, and Mirror's Edge, and I've been hoping for some game released between between 07-today.

Oh and I should say I already found Mount and Blade, and I love it!

I know there are a couple of games about to come out, one for PC and XBox 360 and one for PS3, that look like they're worth buying.

One is [Prototype] and the other is infamous, and since [Prototype] has an Activision label on it I'm just waiting to see how badly Activision screws up what should be a no brainer hit, and how half arsed they make the PC port.

Plants vs. Zombies definitely gave me my 10$ worth. I also wait a couple years before I buy a console, it makes the console cheaper the games cheaper, and more games are out.

On what? PSN is not paying subscription like XBL, at least not the last time I was on.

Also, way to miss the entire point of Console Exclusive games.

Demigod is the last game I bought for PC. And the first since TF2.

Don't rush through WC3 to get to them, both are decent games but DOW2 gets old fairly quickly and demigod is only as fun as the people you are playing with are, I'm still not sure if I like it more than dota.

Last game I felt was worth buying? probably team fortress 2, although I didn't buy it so much as get a copy with my graphics card.

Diablo II, no xpac, patch 1.08. best game ever made...almost.

seriously though i bought Demigod and I love it but stopped playin when one of the connectivity fixes made my connectivity go bye bye.

Last game that I bought was Company of Heroes: Gold Edition

However, I soon found out that through their "brilliant" verification I could only play the game half of the times I wanted to. Not sure if that would be considered worth it...

Oh, there's lots of good stuff out there if you have a PC that can run it. The last one I bought that I just love is Fallout 2. My PC can't really handle 3 (although it plays Oblivion ok...but whatever), so I figured I'd go with the next best thing. I missed out on it back in the day, and it is just cool.

Demi-God wasn't so hot. I waited for that game for months, what a letdown...

Well, I did like playing as that Ivy Queen Queen of Thorns, I forget their names but she was by far my favorite character and I had a little bit of fun with it.

The problem with Demi-God is it's more of a death match type game than an RTS type game, it's totally unbalanced and there's no way to enjoy a long drawn out game without artificially handicapping yourself.

good pc games.... gee let me take a look at my wall, dow series, kings bounty, coh (I never had a problem with the verification) world in conflict, many steam games and the rest are multi console so I wont bring them up even tho I think most are better on pc
