He stood up and helped Jess to her feet.
Karen stood in the middle of three butchered soldiers. Blood soaked clothing and all. She stared at Jess her eyes no longer the sweet mature eyes of Karen, but darker more malicious eyes of a murderer "You killed her. You killed her. Do you know what I'm going to do?" Karen closed her eyes. She suddenly opened them and screamed.

Power: The ability to blink.You "blink" back and forth between the Material Plane and the Ethereal Plane. You look as though you're winking in and out of reality very quickly and at random. Only able to be done every ten seconds. also after blinking there is something called "Plain sickness" In which they become dizzy after blinking. Garret can summon small portals onto the plane.
Personality: Cool headed due to the fact he can blink out of danger quickly enough. Has the tendency to get avoid danger no matter what
History: When Garret was in middle school he was always picked on by bullies for being scrawny. The fact that his parents beat him didn't help his mood either. Garret had the fantasy of killing his parents but he knew that he would be caught and put into jail. One day though he his ability to blink became known to him when he was being hit by a bully holding him up against the wall. He blinked behind him and realized his power. He continued to blink around the bully and hitting him. He then smashed the bully's head into the ground until he was dead. He then went home, Took a wall mounted wakazashi off the wall and killed his parents. He then blinked away as the police came and became no longer garret telva, But Flicker, The menace.
Arc 1: Garret completes his goals with avian and free stanly,he flee's to japan,leaving Kor to take care of Roxanne.
Arc 3: Garret, amused about Kor's love troubles, and the fact he was getting anxious, decides to take his place in the city.

Love... Garret thought as he blinked onto the edge of the city. Has no place here Garret strolled through the city and glanced at the Mutants feasting on corpses, he shrugged and Blinked on top of a building where he saw some soldiers. "Do you happen to know where Roxa-" He began when a bullet stuck him in his chest,sending him off the rooftop. Soldiers,bad He thought as he blinked safely to the ground. A mutant ran at him but he whipped out his sword quickly across it's throat. Garret stepped on it's chest and started walking around when he saw a door shut behind someone at a nearby building. He growled and jogged to the rat pack building and walked in a few feet behind jess. "Hey,you must be a survivor" He said "Do you know where a Roxanne is?" He asked
Rachel woke up, fealing much better than she had the night before. She had been attacked by the military, and had only managed to kill forty, an all time low for her, and she had cried herself to sleep that night because of it. And also Tom dying, of course. She does still have a small heart, if only a small one. She looked around at the pile of things in the corner. "Almost done." She said, looking at a suit of armor with bits and pieces of both Tom's and Alfred's armor bolted and wielded together in to a shape that resembled Rachel. "Good thing Tom kept a spare sword around for whatever reason. And at least that bastard was nice enough to have two poles with him." She looked at the bostaff and sword that where on a mantle. One was Tom's, and the other Alfred's. "I think I should check out that old mansion. Probably has at least something I can steal." She jumped out of the bed and grabbed her jacket, having slept in the rest of her blood stained cloths, and got ready to leave, grabbing the suit and weapons and shoving them in a pack.
Dan grinned at Karen and listened to Jess.
"Jess...Remember how I taught you to use firearms? i got you something to help defend yourself. Do you want it now?"
So? I'm not Jess, so I can't really answer, but if I must...
Dan turned to the figure, showing his light red eyes, slowly getting darker.
"We have more important things to deal with, but if you must know, that is Roxanne."
He pointed to her.
Beat appeared to Karen alone, noone else able to see her.
"Those are faked, see how she lies to stop her death. It's pathetic, kill them Karen. Kill them for me my love. Then find the 'angel'"
Beat pointed at Jess.
"Kill that one first, before she tricks you."

Garret nodded at Dan and walked to Roxanne. "Hello Roxanne" He said to her "Kor wasn't lying when he said this was a hellhole"
Garret gives a low chuckle to himself. "You seem to have a good amount of protectors here" He said waving towards Dan and jess "I think that is covered"
Dan stared at Garret, angry.
"Roxanne is my friend, but i'm not her protector."
He shook his head, trying to get his eyes to return to normal, thinking happy thoughts.
"What I mean is, I will protect her, just don't label me. She's my friend."
He stopped concentrating and alowed his eyes to return to red,
"But I think we should be concentrating on Karen for now. So Jess, how about that gift?"
Dan smiled,
"I think you should take it. You don't have to use it on Karen. I like Karen. But with all these military soldiers running around, it's probably safer.So, you want it or not? It was pretty expencive, but if you don't want it, i'll chuck it."
Dan smiled and reached into a small,black satchel that he had been keeping over his shoulder lately.
"It's not much, but it's a start."
He pulled his hand out, to revel a shiny, new desert eagle. There were words ingraved onto the side of the barrel. They read I love you
"I know it's cheesy, but i'm not the sort of person who thinks things through. So here you go."
He handed her the gun, slightly embarassed.
Dan chuckled and took the gun back.
"It's been so hard not to make it obviouse that I have been eyeing you in that."
He put it away,
"But Jess, don't take the blame for killing her. It was me that shot her. If one of us has to die, it'll be me."
Dan laughed again and then fixed his eyes on Karen. The more he looked, the darker his eyes became.
"Jess, if I stay here for too long, i'm not sure what i'll do. I might need to leave. I'll try to contain myself though."
