As Gaz stumbled forward, he was caught in the gut by Amaranth's punch. The energy detonated, launching him up into the air, smoke trailing from the impact point. He fell after a terrifying moment in the air, landing on the elaborate-made table in the center of the room. The wood cracked and splintered as he hit it, collapsing the entire piece under his weight. He laid there motionless for almost a minute. After an extended pause, he twitched. The world seemed oddly still as he rolled away from the trashed table, ending on his stomach, face down. He looked up; down the hallway he saw Jayne, and... something.
Get moving! The old man shouted into his head.
Gaz nodded, and began to crawl forward. Each contortion of his muscles was pure agony, but somehow the worst of it all came from a minor annoyance. His stomach was cold; wet, even. Gaz had half a mind to start cursing at it as he rolled over to look. He was surprisingly numbed to find that he was bleeding heavily from his stomach, the trail heading all the way back to the table.
"Oh..."
Gaz's head tilted to the side, hitting the floor. As the world darkened, he closed his eyes so he wouldn't have to watch it happen.

"Okay." Jayne said, unsure of what had happened. Fafnir had hardly even tried to dodge. She decided to seize her advantage and sent bullets of earth from every direction to pepper the dragon.

Oliver heard Jason mutter to himself before launching a beam of fire at him. Oliver panicked, summoning a large shield to protect himself instead of simply dodging. The blast hit him head on, knocking him back to the ground with a thud. He stood back up, a couple sparks shooting out from the joints of his armor.
"So, Jason." He asked, conjuring a claymore in his hands. "How does working with a monster like Amaranth qualify as atonement?"

You have done well. Charles said, encouraging Lucifer.
Buck fell further down, out of sight as he plummeted towards the spikes below. However, he saw a gap in the spikes, aiming himself toward it. He shot down into the gap, plunging into the water below.
