Dan has already put his weapons away, and if he isn't allowed in the base, what would the point in doing so be anyway?

A soldier walked forward and handed the pistol to Garret, Garret stored it in his cloak and looked at Dan. "I hope you comply dan"
"I'll give you that one Jess. I owe it to you for what happened with Garret's little friend, but next time, I won't be too happy. And for god's sake both of you, i've already put my equipment down." Dan was starting to boil now. Everyone around him seemed to be hostile.

He pulled his hand back slowly.
"I'm leaving now anyway."
He took the equipment and left. He didn't take Jess with him.
Angarika cocked her desert eagle. "Dan...don't leave."

"We have plenty of rooms, don't worry, I can situate it next to yours." Garret said "Could you set up her room?" He asked a soldier who quickly nodded and sprinted down the hall. When he got inside he closed the door and put blankets down and bugged the place. He walked outside "It is done"

Dan heard Angarika's plee, but ignored her. If she cared that much, she'd go after him. He climbed the roof of the building and sat there. He stared into the city. He could see it more clearly now. He had found that since he lost his powers. Probably because he had to rely on it more.
"No but I get good feedback from my soldiers" Garret said "You have been promoted to head scientist by the way"
Jess thought for a moment, "I don't know...i'm not sure if I trust Garret. I'd rather not work with someone I don't trust..."
Angarika stared angrily "You... broke the contract. Nobody breaks my contract." She stormed out of the room and towards the shooting range.
