Garret walked away deep into the forest alone. after about twenty minutes of walking he knelt before a moss covered shrine. He closed his eyes, removed his helmet and began praying to the Kami of the forest. Birds flocked around him in the trees as he spoke deeply in Japanese.

"I don't know when." Oliver said. "I need to find him, then I need to gather the team best suited to kill him, and then we need to get him in a position where he can't run away if we start winning."

Oliver didn't like the position he found himself in, but he felt there was no other option at the moment. He needed to find a way to stop Jason, but until he had the right plan set up he couldn't risk him running away.

As Garret made the beginnings of the last line of his prayer, a lighter voice finished it. As he turned to look, Gaz walked out from behind a gnarled tree. His eyes were impossible to see, only crackling orbs of glowing blue were there. "Garret." Gaz said. "I don't think you understand. When I lock you up, I prefer to have you stay there." He extended an arm, a beam of lightning zapping forward.

Garret sadly reached out his arm and a dark portal sucked in the lightning. "We have conflicting preferences then"

"I appreciate you letting me finish though, have you come to kill me, lock me up, or retrieve the rat pack members that are in medical lock down" Garret asked as he put his hand on the katana strapped to his right hip.

"Well, first I was going to kill you, then toss your corpse in a dumpster, then go and rescue the Rat Pack. So, I guess all three."

Gaz stood still, analyzing Garret to identify which parts of him best conducted electricity.

"Oh, That is to bad" Garret said as him and the twenty birds surrounding him disappeared. "Well that went badly" He murmured to himself as he walked through his guarded tent and sat down in his makeshift desk.

"Fine, inform me of the time that we are to fight Fafnir." Jason said, wings bursting from his back as he took off back towards the manor.

He didn't like trusting Oliver, and assumed that Oliver would have thought of a way to dispatch Jason after Fafnir was destroyed, but Jason didn't care, he would have thought of a plan to kill Oliver by that time too.

As Garret imagined his escape, a punch to his gut pushed him up against the tree, jerking him back to reality.

"Thinking you'd just escape, right?" Gaz asked, smirking. "No dice, thanks to this." He opened up his jacket to reveal a small beeper-like object, glowing the same golden color as Oliver's energy. "I press a button, and teleportation is nullified." He sent another shocking punch towards Garret's jaw.

Oliver decided that was that, and left with Buck back towards the Rat Pack HQ.

"Think you would actually damage me right?" Garret said as the punch barely put him back. "This entire suit has a rubber compound in it, for the purpose of electrical fires being nullified in action"

Garret laughed and whipped out his Katana. The blade conducted electricity well but the shock stopped at the hilt. Garret started forward with the Blade but hesitated. He slammed the sword back into it's sheath. "Not here" He said

Oliver hands them out as practical standard-issue now, after the last few times Garret's teleported away.

Gaz's eyes shot out a little in surprise, but he stood his ground and prepared for hand-to-hand combat. A small grin materialized on his face as he anticipated the attack, only to react with frank disappointment at Garret's response. "Not here? What do you mean by that?"

"I will not fight on holy ground" Garret said simply "It is wrong, and it is defiling nature"

Garret indicated to a ring of stone surrounding the small clearing in the forest. "Of course you may not follow the same morals as me and may not see this place as a neutral sanctuary, in which case you would be able to attack me and kill me easily, but if you failed at killing me, or if any of the thousands of birds got away, you would be tracked down to the end of the earth for being unhonorable and a traitor to nature"

Gaz's face frowned deeply, and his shadow flickered in and out of a pitch black color, possibly being changed by his electrical glow. "Fine." He said. "We'll get out of this place, but don't think you're escaping me."

Garret gave a small bow. "Thank you" he said as he walked to the edge of the stone circle and hesitated. He flipped open a panel on his forearm and turned the supports on his legs to maximum. "Lets fight" he said as he sprinted at roughly 10 miles per hour through the forest

Gaz kept pace with Garret on his hoverdisc, waiting for the moment they passed out of the sacred ground before opening up with a massive shock, aimed at Garret's blade.

Garret was shocked by the bolt into his sword, most of it was diluted by the rubber compound but he received a small jolt. He tumbled across the ground momentarily but sprang up on his feet with his sword drawn. "Let's fight!" He said

Gaz made no more comments, and aimed another trio of blasts, each aimed for Garret's blade. He poured as much juice into the blasts as he could.

The blasts caught the katana and threw it twenty feet from garret into dirt. "Oh my" He said as he shook off the jitters caused from the blast. "Nice shot"

"What the fuck is wrong with humanity? I offer help and they point a fucking sword at my thraot." He said taking another step back.
For fuck's sake. I despise people. Everyone.
"Fuck it."
Dan turned and left.
I need to find Jess.
He continued through the trees until eventually he found a tent and the others. He entered and saw Jess and Roxanne first.
"Hey. I can't stay for long but...I needed to see that you were ok Jess."
Then he noticed the baby, but pretended not to.

Dan shook his head.
"Oh, the baby. I hadn't noticed. I'm happy." He lied convincingly.
He swept his hair again, noticing that it had gotten quite long and kept falling in his eyes.
"It's fine you left, but i'll be fucked if i'm helping Garret. I think i'm gonna take my leave while the fighting goes on. Get away to England like I said. Feel free to stay, Daid can geet me there and back in about five minutes."
He chuckled slightly,
"I'm not helping anyone. The only person who makes sense is Oliver. He just wants to help the city. Garret wants to change it into something that only he wants. I disagree with that. Completely."
