Hivemind looked around confusedly. "What the heck? Where are we? Ace? You alright Ace? Wait..." He pointed at Oliver "Are you Paragon?" His eye's widened. "No way... This is bad. Very, very bad!" Hivemind started to back away from Oliver.

"Look Hive, get a hold of yourself! Are you with us..." He gestured towards Oliver with his head. "Or him..." He gestured to towards Minus, a dark tone in his voice. "Will you let him dictate your life? Or will you stand by us and live your own way... Pretty simple choice if you ask me..."
Rachel created a shield, blocking the harpoon. "Idiot! Don't you know that fighting him will just get people killed? Aren't you supposed to be the fucking good guy?" She looked from Oliver to Jason. "Jason, please, just join... just please, get this done and we can go home." She created another shield around her, expecting Oliver to attack her.
Hivemind swallowed hard. "Ummmm...Y-y-you g-g-guys... I-I-I gue-uess" His voice seemed on the verge of cracking and he was shaking but for all that his eyes seemed to steel themselves with courage. He still kept his distance from Oliver but he'd seemed to have calmed down more.
Um, okay... Alex aside, it seems there may be a side to escape to, at least. I'll have to see how successful this guy is, and if he is, I should be able to drag Magus along. Externally she remained silent, looking over to Magus - a slight nod was all there was to recognize his calmed nerves, and to let him know she had things under control. Sort of. But if the "renegade" really is Paragon, would escaping with him really be better if he acknowledges that he could have brainwashed us...? Well, whatever the case may be, no need to act in bad timing. Let's see what this guy can even do, lest I act on a moot point.
"Damn it, Rachel!" Oliver shouted. Even when he had been able to call her an ally Oliver found that she had a habit of getting in the way. But he recognized that acting violently towards her would only drive her away, and Jason as well. He tried to reason with her.
"Rachel, don't you get it? You're being irrational. You and Jason won't be safe around this guy. He's only trying to get as many people to join as he can because it's convenient for him, he doesn't intend to protect you once it becomes a hindrance to him. You can't just act on fear for your family all the time; it leads to situations like this. And, if he doesn't mind my saying, it's gotten Jason nearly killed more than once. I want you to calmly think this through: you are telling me that fighting will only get people killed, but you just pledged your allegiance to man who has made it no secret he intends to kill us."

Magus turned to Umbra and opened his mouth as if he were going to say something, but he decided against it and closed his mouth again.

"Goddammit woman! Are you so blind as to not see that more people will die if you join him!? Fight for the side that will win! The side of the good! In the name of science, I will not let this villain win anything!" He span his Katana around then pointed the end at her. "And if you will fight for him, I guess we're enemies. I may be only fourteen, but I promise you, I'm sure as hell not weak."
Magus smiled weakly at Umbra, and then turned to look at the outburst.

Before the Green Ace or Rachel could act, Oliver placed his own sword in front of the young hero. "Hold it, kid." Oliver said in a commanding manner. "Rachel's been my friend for a long time, and I'm not about to let her do something like this. But I'd rather this end without any violence. Look at the situation here, and think about it a moment. Is violence really such a good option when a villain's waiting to spring on whoever survives?"
"Rachel... your a fool. I swore never to help evil again and here you are standing by Minus' side. You really believe that Minus would let us leave after we did what he wanted? Do you know how many times I've believed those kinds of lies, and the number of people I've hurt because of it?" Jason asked calmly.
"Fine..." He put the Katana bacinto the backpack. "I'm just really pissed off, not only today have I met a seven year old murderer, but I have been brought to the future by an evil physcotic bastard. Not the best of days, I must say." He rubbed his head. "At least I had my bag of goodies when I was brought here..." He gestured to his backpack. "Though I'm not sure if it'll be anything compared to the tech they use now."
Rachel looked at Oliver. "Oliver, I've known you for... going on eleven years now? I hoped that you would have known that I am not stupid, but that I do keep secrets." She let down her shield and moved towards Oliver. However, hearing Jason say what he did hurt, making something tick inside her. She turned to Jason "I was going to wait for a moment where he had is guard down, maybe seduce him or something, then kill him. Now you've ruined it." She turned back towards the man. "There, you know my plan." She said, trying to stay calm, but she had realized how she was about to betray Jason at that moment, making tears well up in her eyes.
Hivemind violently jerked back when Oliver brought up his sword. "Bad day, huh. This is a terrible day." He still was on the verge of panicking but something brought him back to calmness. He heard a voice singing to him in a sweet tone. "What a beautiful song." He muttered to himself. He knew no one else could hear it.
Well, that would definitely have been a good idea. Oh well. This is a long ten seconds, isn't it? "I guess that answers that..." she said to herself. Umbra watched 'Paragon' and Minus, seeing who would act first. Who would determine the final outcome of this encounter?...
"Rachel." Oliver said calmly to get her attention. "If you're going to join him to get on his side, you should probably warn us before you try it. Besides, I've already made it clear that I don't intend to let this idiot get away with anything, especially killing all of you."
He stepped forward, and conjured a sword in his hands. The blade was long, and keen. He held it up in a combat stance.
"Jason." He said. "Get everyone out of here, and take them somewhere safe. Find the Renegades. Find me, and tell me what's going on. I'll kick this guy's ass and meet up with you later."
He then gestured to Minus and the few that had joined him. "You all think you have what it takes to fight me? Let's see if you're as strong as you are stupid."

Jason didn't say anything, but everyone in the room could tell he was hurt by Rachel's comment. Jason backed away from Rachel, and looked over to Oliver. A dark flame curled down to the bottom of his unsheathed sword, and Jason seemed ready to attack everyone standing beside Minus.
"Oliver, you have a better chance of finding the Renegades... and no offense, but I think I'd last longer against these bastards." Jason said, in a whisper, not looking at Rachel. If need be, Jason would simply transform into a dragon and hold them off while Oliver got away, then he would try and get away with them.
Oliver looked at Xandus and scowled. His tossed his sword, which became a blob of energy that slammed and stuck itself into the barrel of his gun.
"Jason, I need you to do this for me. As much as he loathes to admit it, I'm pretty sure Minus isn't going to kill me. I started all of this, so killing me would destabilize the entire timeline. He might even cease to exist. Besides, if I met myself we'd probably be at each other's throats before I could tell him we need help."

"And how is it that you propose we get out? Break down a wall?" Jason said, a dark black fireball now burning in his hand. He seemed ready to throw the fireball at someone, but it wasn't clear who he would throw it at. A dark material began crawling down Jason's arm, covering it in it's armor-like material.
