Racing. I think the reason that I don't like it though is probably because my brother kept on beating me at it. He even beat me on gran turismo when we picked our cars with our eyes closed. He somehow keeps getting lucky. He gets a fast racing car and I got a truck.

Racing games. LAP 3 of 12!! Yayyy!!!!

With the exception of the burnout series as that was more about crashing than racing.

Pretty much all fighting games with some exceptions. Also I can't stand any ultra-realistic racing games. For example Gran Tourismo 5 was okay in small bursts but the ultra-realism was just a successive set of kicks to the balls.

Edit: I actually love Sports games. Favourites being Football (Soccer) and Basketball games. I just find them very fun. I also LOOOOOOOOOVE Rugby games...but they haven't come out with one since Rugby 08 on the PS2 and PC (lets hope they come out with one before the next World Cup).

Fuck golf, soccer, hockey, baseball, basketball, and any other sports game that isn't Madden 2003
Overkill much?
Not really, technically, sports game promote a lazy generation, instead of getting friends and tossing a pigskin, kicking or tossing a ball around, having a catch, spending a day on the course, beating the shit out of each other on the ice, you can pretend to do it by pushing buttons.

I like playing Madden because I'm NOT equipped physically to play pro football and I learn more and more from playing. But if I could I'd love to play with my friends for fun, in real life, not a video game

They also squirt out a new one every year and make us shell out full price for the new games every year, why? What's the point of buying a full price game with players you won't use and shit they added that make the game shittier and shittier.

I think I'm bitter about it because Maddens have been disappointing year after year (I don't buy them brand new, fuck no! Rentals and buying old versions for a few bucks/cents) and it makes you feel like you'll never be able to do it, plus where's the fun in managing a team over playing the game?

FPS...Yeah I know most of you are gunna be calling me a moron now, but theres not much that you can do with a genre that consists of "give person gun" "person go shoot things"
the only two games that spiced up the FPS genre where Portal and Fallout3, but even then they had to borrow elements from other genres (portal using the puzzle format and Fallout using the RPG)

Also JRPGs, i want to play a game, not number crunch and then watch as the computer plays the game for me.

I want to like RTSes but there's never been one ive really enjoyed, dawn of war came close though.

Team sport games. Like football, basketball, etc. I love some individual sport games (skateboarding, snowboarding).

my least favorite genres:
3)hentai games
2)MMORPG's
1)sport games
I was going to just chime in with Sports Games as well, but this is probably a more complete list of my dislikes.

Hentai Games - Well, it's not so much that they're my least favorite so much as the least I'm likely to take up a habit of playing. They're depraved by design. Maybe if I were a little younger and my testosterone was desperate for some emotional fuel.

MMORPGs - I really try [http://geldonsgaming.blogspot.com/2010/03/top-26-mmorpgs-and-why-i-dont-play-them.html] to enjoy MMORPGs, but every time I do I'm bitten in the ass by something or other. They're just not very good games, you know? It's more about the spectacle of the thing, or perhaps achieving virtual acquisition.

Sport Games - The gameplay of your average sport game isn't terrible, but they're largely focused on pleasing sports fans. I'm not a sports fan, so a major focus of the game went where I'm not.

sports games, I dont really care about sports in general and a videogame version doesnt interest me in the least
Except Fifa '02, I loved that game.
None of the other sports games appeal to me, just that particular one.

Sports is only my least favourite genre if stunting and racing don't count.

RTS and FPS. So I hate 90% of the games that are released nowadays. Actually I do enjoy the more RPGy FPS games, such as Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Deus Ex, System Shock and No One Lives Forever. But Call of Duty and Bioshock and the like? Yuck!
