It depends on your definition of "popular." Deus Ex and Planescape: Torment could both be considered cult classics, but never did achieve huge commercial success.

And they're both awesome.

Do you guys understand how popular Psychonauts actually is? It's funny, because it ironically became one of the most famous games out there for being constantly called the most underrated game of all time...

I really don't know any games that would be considered unpopular. I mean, I could say Beyond Good & Evil or Fatal Frame because 90% of the general public hasn't heard of them, but saying one of those games to a gaming site is like saying Reel Big Fish to the ska crowd.

Everybody seems to laugh at me when I tell them that Patapon is one of my favorite games ever, even before knowing what the game is about (and then twice as hard after). So, I'm going with that one.

People need to stop saying Psychonaughts because it certainly isn't unpopular, just didn't get all the recognition it deserved.

Baten Kaitos I sapose, really helped me with the lack of Gamecube RPGs but was never as recognized as Tales of Symponia, plus the franchise seems to be dead.

Except for the final boss I loved that game.

For me it would be Call Of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Damn you Bethesda for not making the sequel.
