Its been a long time since i've played L4D, and I only ever play the single player anymore seeing as finding a game with other people that aren't dicks or idiots is too much effort for me, and with the work shifts i do, my friends are never on.
so i'll probably give it a miss.
will try the demo though, but it would have to be monumentally good to make me consider getting it over DAO, and i can't quite afford both :/

I don't mind it, I just think that it could have been better as a 10 dollar DLC.
Because 5 campaigns, over 20 new weapons, massive improvements to the AI, and a new gore system are all worth 10 dollars.

I loved L4D and now with L4D2, I can't wait for my friend to get it downloaded. I love the added zombie to give you extra flavour, and the big flashing "grenades/weapons/second handgun/pain pills/med kits here" sign really makes me feel good about searching the rooms instead of "Oh look! The flashy sign popped up! Which way is it pointing now?"

Maybe we can have more strategy to multiplayer with these new zombies as well. (anyone wana jockey a survivor into the witch?)

l4d2 is the same as l4d,but better. l4d is a good game, so naturely l4d2 will be a good game.(unless, of course, you didn't like l4d.)

Meh. Feels the same, just not as much fun. It's alright. I'll wait for it to drop to $20 before I buy it.

From what I've seen (brother is playing it) it looks very much like left 4 dead, as such my interest is low. I might give it a spin later and decide based on experience though :p

What I can see (he's playing a 'mod' *wink*) is that there is no grounds whatsoever for the game to have been banned. Seriously, from what I've seen it's far more tame than dead rising, though I rather liked dead rising so I suppose I shouldn't point that out to the OFLC..

Just finished bashing my way through the demo. literally. There is something alot more satisfying about taking out a zombie with a guitar or a machette than with a smg or shotgun.

The gameplay is much of a muchness, but for me, the game "feels" different. There's something about it that I can't quiet put a finger on.

On a related note, is it wrong for me to start singing "My Achy Breaky Heart" while bashing in zombie's heads with a guitar?

Didn't like the demo. And I'm not a boycotter either. GIVE ME BACK THE ORIGINAL FOUR, THESE NEW PEOPLE SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

L4D1 is more fun.

EDIT: Also, the first level is boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring. Seriously. Everything is SO open to the point where it's not fun at all.

EDIT2: One last thing. Not a fan of melee weapons (I personally don't like using them). And the new weapons you can get all look fisher price fake. And the size of them on your screen is enormous compared to L4D 1.

Remember how a lot of people thought that L4D2 wasn't going to be much different to L4D at all? (Read: boycotters) Yeah, well, I can safely say: bullshit. You can feel the difference with it at the very moment you start playing. Everything feels different, and it's fucking good. Who else has the demo, and what do you think of it?
Yeah I have a friend who pre-ordered it and he says it is really good and a big improvment over the last one! makes me consider getting it lol

When I was playing(It may have just been because I was trying new things in L4D2) there were moments that seemed like moments from horror films. Like in the crescendo event, running backwards down the street fighting them of with my machete, even while i could see another horde approaching behind me.

It really is a massive improvement. You should try the demo, you'll see what I mean.

I'm downloading the demo, but all the gameplay footage I've seen makes it look like L4D with a graphics make-over and 3 new zombies (I don't really give a shit about melee weapons considering the standard melee attack is already ridiculously powerful). It really confuses me why so many people are buying this game.

The demo is fucking awesome and I'd buy L4D2 if I didn't already buy the first L4D twice. It'd be like I'm just wasting money if I bought it now. I'll just wait for the game to go on sale or something.

L4D2 is basically how the first one should've been.
